Dynamite Diner — Restaurant in Green Head

Had a breakfast today in Dynamite Bay Takeaway cafe and booked an egg and bacon roll. They brought us a egg and bacon burger, not a roll, in a cheap (white) bread bun. When we said we expected it be a roll , as in a description, not a bun/ burger, they started arguing with us and telling us that in Australia how they call this buns - rolls. They picked up my accent and they make sure to make us understand that we are different from them , Australians, that we who dont understand the difference, not them. Never mind that I live in AU for 26 years and i have Australian degree in science, not just a tourist. This cafe worker pointed out they are just above us and our knowledge and experience. We had originally attempted to go to the Crescent Cafe, but even though there were signs everywhere for it the place was closed for whatever reason during business hours, so we then went to Dynamite Takeaways, fortunately for us! Tim had a latte and a toastie, and I had the homemade banana bread. We enjoyed Dynamite Takeaways and Green Head so much that we ended up going back to Dynamite Takeaways for a late lunch. All of the food was delicious, with large portions and a beautiful fly-proof inside/outside dining area. The owner even came over and gave us a fascinating overview of the history of the town. Hubby and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary with a meal out. Wow, I can't give this Diner enough stars. We both had an amazing delicious meal. I had the best salt n pepper calamari that I have ever eaten, so fresh and tender. Hubby had the snapper and concurred that the fish was so fresh and the batter light. The salad was crisp and fresh as well. We did mention when we booked a table that it was our wedding anniversary. It was a lovely surprise that our table was specially decorated with a single yellow rose (thank you), this was so nice. We topped the night off taking home a tasty vanilla slice for dessert.
