Guilderton Country Club — Restaurant in Guilderton

We have been on holiday for past week and really enjoyed our time, we decided to visit the Country Club for dinner on our last night upon arrival we could see that bingo night was in full swing, we were informed that tonight was not full menu and we were all happy with the selections on offer. When we placed our orders just before 7pm we were informed the wait would be at least half an hr maybe longer which we were totally fine with and appreciated how busy you were. Just after 8pm I went to enquire approximately how long it would be as the kids were hungry, we were told there was 2 orders still in front of ours, we then had our buzzer go off a little while later and went to collect our meals to be told they had run out of chicken wings along time ago and did we want to change selection, as that was an extra to share I requested our money back for the wings and asked how long to our meal, we were told 10-15mins, I requested that could they please cook our 2 kids meals first as the kids were starving. The buzzer went off about 20mins later and we went to collect our 2 nugget meals and was asked if we were sure we didn’t want the rest of the meals, at this point the young girl really had attitude and I had never cancelled our order so we ended up receiving our meals at approx 8.30, an hr and a half (a little over) I completely understand how busy the night was and we were prepared but a little over an hr and a half with no apology or follow up our meals were $200 plus drinks on top just didn’t feel like our business was valued. Following a hectic days work on our guilterton property, the wife and I decided to head down to the country club for dinner. My wife ordered a caesar salad and I ordered a chicken caesar salad. Caesar salad is my preferred dining order when eating out (have had 100's) . Both my wife and I were appalled with the food. The bacon and egg were both fridge cold and the chicken was microwaved. The cos lettuce was full lettuce leaves on top of each other, presented with sauce on only the top leaves. Mine had very little sauce in sight so really was just lettuce. Having served in the Navy for over 20 years and having experienced diverse meals, unfortunately I would have to say this was the worse meal I have ever been presented and I could not eat. Take note that I have never ever complained about anything before but felt so compelled to this time.

I took my partner and our kids to the country club for dinner and drinks. I ordered the steak special with the assumption that it would be small with limited chips and salad. Well, HOW WRONG WAS I. The steak was a big size as well as a beautiful cut of meat. It was cooked perfectly and the garlic sauce was Devine. Then, the side salad was what you would expect from the old school pub meals. A proper salad that was of large size and even had a side of potato salad. The entire dish was perfect and couldn’t be faulted. Every single on of the dishes we ordered could not be faulted and I would highly recommend that the Country Club is by far the best place to eat in or near Guilderton. But, to top it off, not only is the food the best, all the staff are amazing and very friendly and helpful as well as the effort they make to create the best vibe and atmosphere making everything about this place the best spot for a meal or a coldie around.
