Harper Street Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Harvey

I ordered an almond mocha and a full cream mocha for my fiance. Drinks came out as both full cream. When I asked which was the almond mocha, the staff member made me feel as though I hadn't asked for alternative milk. No apology and was annoyed. She then sent me back to the register to another staff member to charged me an additional 80 cents for her mistake. So I figured we'd just take both full cream drinks so my fiance could have both of them (save them wasting it and throwing it out). To which she said "oh, did you take the other one?" And I said yes, didn't want you guys to waste it, figured it was already made for us. Then the other staff member yelled at us over other customers and said, "no, that'll be my breakfast". Not a fan. Left feeling awkward and upset. If they were after good customer service, it would be not charging for THEIR mistake and giving us the other drink. Come on guys. Literally the teenagers at McDonalds are nicer. None of them apologised. Was taken back by what you think would be a friendly country...

Very poor customer service. My wife and I dropped in here on January 15 after a long drive and were very hungry. My wife is a vegetarian and felt like a salad roll, it was 42 degrees outside so a hot pastie was off. There was nothing in the roll cabinet on offer. The store had no customers and she asked if she could have a salad roll or sandwich made up. "Sorry, can't do that!" was the reply. She offered to buy a loaf of bread and would pay them to make something for her to eat. Nope, still too hard, so we had to leave and look elsewhere. It wasn't even close to closing time. With the pie I was going to buy, sandwich, plus cakes and drinks, they would have lost around $30 + worth of business. Sorry guys, very poor form and cannot...

Just passed through to grab a bite after work with some of my colleagues and my boyfriend as well, I had the lasagna pie and he had a beef pie. Nothing to drink cause we find it just bonkers that a bakery that’s so close to Harvey doesn’t sell their amazing OJ. I would like to notice that I’m only leaving a 2 star review thanks to the rude lady that served me and that while I was taking a picture of the pie selection, because I thought it was a nice display, she just snapped at me with a “no pictures please” I didn’t dignify to ask why as it just sounded silly to do so.
