We stopped in Hawker after a long days drive, and wandered up the main street looking for dinner. WHAT A TREAT! We found the Flinders Food Co., and could not have been happier. I had the korean chicken burger, and my wife had the Pumpkin with houmus and salad with an amazing and delicious sauce. We shared... jealously, but were just as happy with each other's meals as with our own. The women who served us were both really friendly and the service was spot on. We ate outside as we had our dog with us, but both, having gone inside to check out the range of delicious cakes, commented to each other about what great ambience the room had. There has been care taken to make the space feel comfortable; with sound deadening to stop that awful "train station" overly loud, echoey din that happens in so many places. We have just returned from dinner with cakes (we'll have to eat them tomorrow as we don't appear to have space for them at the moment 😋. I know I sound like a friend or family member, but I'm not. Just a road weary traveller who has just enjoyed the best eating experience I've had in years. Top marks to all involved, and compliments to the...

Superb, I ordered the kangaroo and the server suggested it to be cooked medium/rare. I am not a fan of rare meat so, at the risk of losing tenderness, I asked if it could be cooked to medium and the chef obliged. It was perfect for my preference of steak and equal or even better than any regular beef steak I have eaten.

It was accompanied by a delicious jus and pickled quandongs. So many incredible flavours I have never experienced before and a showcase for bush tucker.

My partner had the barramundi and it too was incredible. Crispy skin contrasting a soft flavoursome flesh and accompanied by silky baby potatoes.

A range of beers were available including some craft and traditional labels and the house wines were to an equally high standard.

The service was also impeccable. Discrete and perfectly timed whenever our drinks required replenishing. The server was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

A jewel of Hawker town, with a simple yet delicious menu that should not be missed.

Thank you for a memorable and mouth...

What a great place to eat! the coffee was nice, the food delicious and the service great. The atmosphere was good and the staff were so friendly. The home made (Giant) hash brown is a must try, with it's beautiful soft mash potato centre and golden brown outside. It's nicer than any other hash brown I've ever eaten, so don't expect mass produced cheap quality, but expect that flavour and texture of home cooking. The tomato relish is fabulous and full of flavour, I couldn't help but buy a jar to take home for my own home made breakfasts and barbeques. I only wish I could have bought more jars to go, but with weight limit for the flight home I couldn't. The place opened early enough to enjoy a relaxing and filling brekkie in preparation for our local scenic flight tour.

Absolutely incredible food in this tiny little town. Service was impeccable by both waitresses working tonight & the Chilean Chefs have mastered the local cuisine with respect! Scallops were incredible & my Barramundi/ Spicy Chorizo combination was a credit to both the local produce & a Spanish touch of flare. Incredible💞 Paired with a Clare Valley Rosé, our meal was perfection in this tiny little town. Definitely come here for a fabulous foodie experience if you’re on your way to Wilpena Pound or just in the general vicinity! Their little produce section of Flinders Food Co. including locally produced jams & relishes can not be overlooked either! Who can resist a Finger Lim & Fig Jam or a Anise Mrytle & Beetroot Relish💞
