Stepping into Banjo's Margate was like stepping into a warm hug. The smell of freshly baked bread and brewing coffee instantly filled my senses, and the cafe itself had a modern yet inviting atmosphere. It wasn't just the aroma that was welcoming, though. The staff greeted me with a friendly smile and were more than happy to answer my questions about their menu. I opted for a savory option – a handmade chicken and vegetable pie – and a creamy latte. The pie crust was flaky and golden, and the filling was packed with flavor. Each bite was a delightful combination of tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and a rich gravy. The latte was smooth and perfectly balanced, the coffee's bold flavor complementing the sweetness of the milk. While I indulged in my meal, I noticed the warm interaction between the staff and the other customers. It seemed like many of them were regulars, and the staff knew their orders and preferences by heart. This sense of community is what truly sets Banjo's apart. It's not just a bakery and cafe; it's a local hub where people gather to enjoy good food, good company, and a warm atmosphere. Overall, my experience at Banjo's Margate was delightful. The food was delicious, the coffee was perfect, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you're ever in Margate, Tasmania, I highly recommend stopping by for a taste of their homemade goodness and a dose of local charm.

Terrible bread from this bakery, I have reached out to them several times about the quality and size of their loaves yet when I go there today the bread loaves are undercooked again and only half the size of a regular loaf due to the baker I guess because this has been happening for the past year or so. If they aren’t undercooked or burnt they are half the size or both. We all got ill from one of their undercooked loaves and it stunk our entire house out so be careful if you go there. I don’t recommend them at all

Nice pies, sausage roll was fresh but had that stuffing mix feel and taste. I would come back for the Plain meat pie, my friends had Pepper Beef and said it was nice, the Potato Pie was also good.

Purchase 2 party pies and a sausage roll on my way through Margate and when I went to eat them I knew there was a problem they tasted undercooked under seasoned and not what a banjos party pie tastes like. I rang up to let them know there was an issue so they were aware and was told I was the second person to ring and that they hadn’t been seasoned that day and had had to be binned. Was going through Margate over and hour later and stopped in to buy some more as I wanted to enjoy some party pies and asked if these were new pies as I was one or the people who rang up and didn’t want to repeat the experiance. The person serving me didn’t know there was an issue but assured me they were fine. Got to my location went to eat them and encounter the same issue. I rang up this time to complain. I talked to a staff member who took my phone number and name and said they would speak to a manager but at the time of this review I have not heard back.

The rolls also looked a lot less full at this location compared to the Huonville location I purchased...
