Disappointing experience for coming here for a birthday celebration for lunch. Table of 5 and 3 dishes were a big let down. Halloumi burgers on g/f bread were foul. No flavour or substance, very dry and just taste really bad. The Halloumi was not grilled or only the slightest bit that made no difference to the taste. The fries were gross, tastes cheap, very greasy as if they were old and put into deep frier a second time. The fish tastes old and definitely not fresh. Also was charged extra when asked for a sides of aioli for the fries- just put it with the dish it’s not like I didn’t pay for it in the high price and low value food! We voiced our complaints and disappointment over the food. The manager/chef came out and apologised but was also defending the food and did not offer any compensation apart from one desert but it was ill fitting considering we had a birthday cake for someone at the table which was known to them. I’m so tired of such low standards of food at restaurants in Hobart, unfortunately this place is just another let down to add to the list

We decided to go to the restaurant BEACHES, I ordered a medium rare sirloin steak, It came out 3-5mins after the other 3 guests had got there meals served. We were asked by staff how the meals were & as I'd only started mine I didn't realise at this stage It was cooked med to well done. I did not say anything until they collected the plates due to good conversation, wine and trying my husband's perfectly cooked medium rare 2 inch thick fillet mignon steak. Upon going to counter to say something I was asked if I would like it re cooked, but I did say NO as I would be eating on my own and everyone else had finished there dinner. So I asked for compensation, & was told NO we should have said something earlier. They then said to sort it out with management in the morning. I talked to management/reception at the Ramada the next morning with no luck as we has used vouchers and they said we should have addressed the issue last night. So a bit disappointed, we have had better steaks cooked to perfection at pubs.

We arrived late afternoon at Club Wyndham Seven Mile Beach from Brisbane. We hadn't eaten all day we were tired and hungry. Reception booked us for Dinner. Very welcoming Staff took our order, it was a tough decision everything looked appealing. My wife ordered the special T Bone and I chose the Chicken Schnitzel. My Schnitzel was the biggest and thickest I have ever eaten. So juicy and tender accompanied by Beer battered Chips and fresh Salad. My wife never lifted her head while eating the T bone special also accompanied by Beer battered Chips, fresh Salad and Mushroom Sauce. Such a friendly Tasmanian venue.

Rang if the place could cater for my nine year old son with gluten and dairy allergies. Would not be a problem. When we arrived and looked at the menu we were disappointed on what he could eat. The chips are cooked in general oil and will be contained but what most places do is not possible here, Pan fry some chips. The waitress suggested the lasagne as that is gluten free and double checked in the kitchen if this could be done dairy free. Yes, no problem. Meals came. First thing i noticed was parmesan shaves on top of lasagne. Gave the plate right back to the very apologetic waiteress. Not too long after a large serve of lasagne came. I helped my spn to cut it. First thing i see is melted cheese, did a taste check. Yes, definitely cheese. Took plate up to the bar. The girl was very embarrassed and i told her that i wanted pan fried chip per direct or a review would go on Facebook. Few minutes later we were told chips were coming. We had finished our meals (or as much as appetite we had and could get ourselves to eat in fron if a very hungry boy) we started to loose faith and my son and I went up to the kitchen where the waitress was waiting for the chips. Was it guaranteed cooked in oil, not butter. The chef seemed very chaotic. An apology to my son was too much. A not convinced "sorry i made a mistake, im busy" came from other side of kitchen. I told him it was not one mistake. "Oh yeah, maybe 2, 3 or more" was his response. I told him he has no respect or understanding about food allergies. If my son would have cut the second lasagne himself he would not have recognized the cheese and ate it!! You are as s chef playing with lives!" I told the waitress my faith in the chips was gone, and she fully understood. I told her i would not pay anything and would go to maccas to get chips, which are guaranteed gluten free. The waitress was just lovely. It was not her fault at all. I will be in touch with management after the weekend. Plates for people with food allergies should have to be checked with extra care. So we ended up getting two large chips from maccas for my by then starving son and pavlova desert from Coles!. What should have been a special night out to celebrate a special occasion was ruined by a careless chef. I had read very mixed reviews about this place on Facebook Eating out in Tassie site. But was keen to give it a go. Maybe im willing to do so again when there is better care for allergies and an other chef. Very...

I was gifted The Restaurant Choice gift card and noticed yesterday that Beaches Restaurant Seven Mile Beach was newly on the list of participating restaurants. I booked and asked at the time if this card would be accepted and was told by reception that they were unsure but they couldn't get hold of anyone in the restaurant to check. I thought since they were new on the list that it should be fine so we went. Upon payment of the bill I was told they no longer accepted the card and they would not honour it. Apparently they have previously accepted this card but the website has not ever stated this when I have viewed it. Granted, maybe the fine print states that it is up to the restaurant to confirm, but I had not seen any fine print. The lady did apologise a lot but I am on a tight budget and the only reason I went out for dinner that night was because I could enjoy a night out with my daughter and it wouldn't cost too much. I also need to use the card because it expires soon. There only seems to be 2 other restaurants that participate in this offer in Hobart so hopefully the $50 this card cost my friend, won't go to waste. So be aware that if you have one of these cards, this restaurant no longer participes in the offer. I should have checked when we arrived and that is on me, however, it slightly spoilt a nice evening with my daughter. Gift...
