Travelling from interstate and staying nearby in Margate. Could not get an Uber or Taxi so we walked. Kitchen closes very early. They told us 7:45 PM but would stay open till 8. We asked if we could place a phone order and pay in advance, They said no. We arrived at 7:50 and the kitchen was closed. The staff and owner laughed at my son who was having an asthma attack after running to get there on time. They closed the bottle shop early to spite us. Extremely rude. Two nights ago on Saturday the 28th of June 2025, I went in and asked the man behind the bar to fill up a bottle of water for me with water for free. He did that without charge. That mans service was very generous of him and I would like to thank him and Snug Tavern for doing that for me. Went in last night for a meal . We were told if we were happy to wait we could have a table. We stayed. We waited a hour . Other people that came in after us were getting their meals before us. My mum went up and asked how much longer it would be . 5 mins we were told. 35 mins later still no food. We were told the chef was on his own and was overwhelmed with all the orders.
