After travelling for 15 hours without being able to eat anything substantial I was really excited to arrive at this bistro. They have a great atmosphere and the menu is good with options for everyone.
However, it was packed and when I made my order I was told it would be at least an hour waitā¦.Fair enough, I was starving so said I was happy to wait. Iām fact I was so hungry I asked if I could order a double serving of my meal to make it bigger.
After two hours of waiting I went and checked where my meal was and the wait staff said there had been a mistake and went to get the chef. The chef came out and offered no apology š he was angry ..at meā¦. He asked my why I waited so long and said they wonāt be making my food and thatās it. Oh.Ok. I am not sure what I did wrong. I was trying to be patient since the bistro was packed and they had told me to only order food if I was willing to wait āat least an hourā.
The uncaring, unapologetic and unnecessary attitude towards me from the chef was really surprising. Everythingās shut now so I guess Iāll eat in twelve hours or so :)
We all make mistakes. The place seems great. Would I ever risk going there if I was starving after a big 15 hour day driving? Nah lol
This sign they have up on the wall...

We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine, and was rather rudely told by the manager to go to the bottleshop on the premises and get it myself. I purchased the bottle as directed then sat at the table. When the bill arrived, I was horrified to discover that we had been charged CORKAGE ($12) on a bottle that we had purchased on site from them! When we questioned it, we were told the charges were correct. The meal itself was entirely forgettable, with a seafood chowder seemingly filled with frozen corn a low point. We won't be back. EDITED AFTER RESPONSE FROM OWNER. Restaurant charges are there to compensate for the restaurant experience. Being sent to the bottleo on site was poor form no matter how you cut it. Enjoy your market while you have it. Eventually international travel will return, and domestic tourism will return to normal levels, and suddenly, local business will become important again. When that day comes, please don't whine about how locals need to support local businesses. Enjoy this economy while...
