D' Ankasa — Restaurant in Huntingdale

This is usually one of my favourite places to order takeaway. I’ve just ordered tonight and can understand they were busy because of Father’s Day. (50 min wait for our order). When my husband arrived after the specified time, there was still another 20 mins wait. After the first 10 mins waiting we were told kitchen made a mistake so is it okay to have chicken kway teow instead of beef? Sure no problem. However when arriving home , we find most food in containers were lukewarm. Given that we always pick up our orders in an insulated esky, how long was the food sitting there ready to give to your customer? I didn’t expect to have to reheat my meal in the microwave at home. Anyway it’s a shame because I always recommend this restaurant to others. The chicken kway teow was definitely a lot spicier than what we normally get so may have got someone else’s order too. The restaurant has a very welcome and cosy atmosphere. The staff is very professional, approaching you when coming in and seating you in your tables. They immediately hand you a menu, which is easy to understand. The food is amazingly good and addicting from the first bite, I wouldn’t say it’s authentic but very close. My personal favourite items are the drinks, they are all refreshing and fresh, the traditional Malaysian drinks are particularly good.The portions of the dishes are the right size of big, not enough for two people but can leave one person very full. It would help if the size was a tiny bit smaller but I see no need for it. The service was fast and efficient, serving within 10-15 minutes on the average day. I have ordered a Beef fried rice just a while ago for lunch and the size and amount of beef in the fried rice is pathetic! I have been going back to this restaurant time and time again because the food and service are good but I don't know what happened to them now because the last time I ordered similar dish there were proper beef slices that I was actually able to cut the slices into smaller ones so that I have more but today....please look at the photo attached. I had to rummaged through the rice to get TINY pieces of beef...very disappointing.
