Their bread is unstoppable. I can't stop eating it. I had a mushroom pie and a yuzu drink from here and they also blew my mind. This place is wholesome and decadent at once. I brilliant gem of tasty food and coffee, with great staff.
Bread: I got the seedy loaf, but I hear the cheesy one with the spikes is also to die for. I'm super keen to try the single origin sourdough, the spitfire. Usually this sort of phrase applies to coffee, but it makes sense for it to also envelope bread eating culture.
Doughnuts and sweets: There is quite an array of doughnuts. I got to try a dulce de leche one. They have a doughnut specials board with quite a few awesome choices on it. The selection appears to be refreshed regularly (as in different doughnut flavours). There are a number or other sweet pastries to choose from, but doughnuts seem to reign supreme here.
Savoury: There was an amazing selection of tarts, savoury danishes, pies, etc. when I visited. My mushroom pie had delicious crust which I think was also sourdough somehow. So yum! My friend had the beetroot tart thing which she said was awesome. There was so much. I went back in from the porch (best spot to sit in the afternoon) to ogle everything a few times, which is when I got my yuzu soda. Highly recommend these savoury delights. You can't go wrong.
They also sell coffee, but I didn't have any so I can't comment. My friend did have it and she was happy with it. I don't know how far above average it was though. The guy making it was significantly above average kind and...
Read moreThe sourdough chocolate croissants were fantastic - crispy on the outside and soft inside. I would go back for these. Not too buttery - just right. We also bought a "Beast" sourdough (white), also tasted great. Hardish to slice but I think that was the bread knife where we were staying, not the bread. My kids were happy tearing pieces off before we'd even left. There's a lovely little kitchen garden outside that is also theirs full of herbs and flowers. We sat on the sandstone wall to eat. The tables were full of people dining in and it was very friendly overall. There was quite a long line which stalled for a bit and it takes a bit of time to wait for coffees. But we weren't in a rush. There's a gravel carpark immediately outside but we parked on the street. You need to be a bit careful with smaller kids because of the carpark. They also sell large and small bags of flours like Khorasan and Emmer for home bakers, and a bunch of other nice kitchen supplies...

If you're chasing crispy, golden pastries and authentic sourdough, this spot’s a must-visit 🥐🍞
Their sourdough chocolate croissant? Unreal — flaky outside, soft inside, and not overly buttery. Just perfect. The “Beast” sourdough was so good my kids started tearing pieces off before we even got to the car 😅
🌿 Bonus: there’s a gorgeous little kitchen garden with herbs and flowers out front. Loved sitting on the sandstone wall in the sun while we enjoyed our breakfast (but be mindful with small kids near the gravel carpark 🚗).
☕️ Long coffee line, but the friendly vibes and delicious pastries, danishes, and artisan goods totally made it worth the wait. Oh, and don’t miss the home baker section — they’ve got Khorasan, Emmer flour, Olsson salt and more 👩🏻🍳✨
