As a coeliac I had heard great things about Matthew Marcs for a while but living in Wollongong with a newborn had not had the chance to venture down. However, last week I was in Shellharbor swapping over light fixtures and timed it so my visit would fall at lunch.
I'm so glad I did. I tried the pesto chicken panini and it was delicious. As a coeliac there are so few quick and easy options available. Whenever you go out everything either has to be the full production of a sit down meal or if you want something on the go the option is usually something from the treats section. It was so nice to be able to access an affordable meal that you could take with you on the go.
The meat was cooked fresh so the roll wasn't soggy. I'v already found a reason to be back in the area tomorrow and looking forward to trying something else...

The calibre of food that the boys produce from a very modestly sized kitchen has to be tasted to be believed. Their coffee is second to none and Calebās in-house made desserts will have you salivating before your first bite. Matthew Marcs is un-assuming but once the community know how seriously Cory and Caleb take their GF food and customers, this little secret in the suburbs will become Shellharbourās worst kept secret.
