Not the best experience. It was a very busy night at the hotel, staff were run of their feet in the dining room/kitchen. We ended up waiting more than 90 mins for our meals. Seemed to be the same for most tables in the pub that night. The waitress was very apologetic (only reason it is 3 stars, not 2). The bar manager (older guy, maybe Steve?) surly from the moment we even suggested asking for a table and wanting a meal. It seemed like the idea of us coming in for a meal wasn’t something he wanted to deal with. With his attitude I didn’t even bother asking for the drink that was meant to be served with the kids meal, or questioning the cost of the bill which was added up in his head and just rounded up a bit (let’s make that 2 stars not 3). Despite the wait, the Parma was pretty average (being generous) with a serving size that was half of that of the Schnitzel dish, unsure if they ran out of a chicken and tried to cut corners by hiding the portion size under a bit of Napoli Sauce and Mozzarella? Given there was no other open restaurants in Inglewood or Bridgewater on Loddon on a Thursday night, unfortunately we were stuck, having to wait it out...
Read moreVery surprised by the meals. .Excellent. .Posted my last review 1 year ago as 5 stars and excellent. Came here today with family and the hotel bar lounge was empty. I said to my family, this is strange, something is not right. There were only 2 elderly men in the kitchen and 1 man behind the bar who were cooking, serving or catering. We ordered scotch fillet steak, medium rare, well done and very well done with salad n chips. WELL!! WE got charcoal steak, which looked like it had been left way too long on the cooker and stuck to it and medium rare was too well done, the other very well done steak was NOT very well done. We even had to ask for steak knives and found it very difficult carving through the charcoal covered steaks. The salad, was very large uncut leaves, placed on the plate and inside was a concoction of rice, potato and pasta. The chips were ok. The presentation was terrible. Rather than complain, we ate what we could, left most on the plate and walked out. Never to return again. Over $100 blown on a very disappointing experience. Whoever did the cooking has obviously no kitchen cooking...
Read moreToday's Parma quest brought these 2 hungry old people to The Empire Hotel in Inglewood . Firstly what a great pub and the beers only cost us $7.50 each which is not too bad as a Parma meal is traditionally a 4 scooner meal 😁😁 Now todays meal is one of the reasons you should never judge a book by its cover . Because when it came out the 1st thing we noticed was there was no ham and the cheese was undercooked which we have been expecting a miss considering we have had soooo many yummy one's lately 😋. But trust me when I say Oh My God looks all aside it was bloody delicious 😋 . I don't know what the parma crumbs were made out of but definitely a new taste for us and even better it only lightened our pockets $25 each . In Micks exact words he said todays parma was the equivalent off sinking 10 beers putting on your beer googles and having the shag of your life but waking up next to a shocker 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 . Definitely worth a visit if you are...
