Twas the night before Christmas, well no, it was a cold weekend and a road trip beckoned. Beer, serenity, and some hearty food called. Long trip out past Mansfield and into the hills we did trot. The aforementioned establishment was on my radar, because it brews and sells its own beer. And I'm a dab hand at drinking and eating. Great location even on a cold day, the beers great, downside driving, but takeaway available. Upside, reason to go back and stay locally using the pub bus to avoid a sizeable finger wagging/fine. I cannot comment on all the menu but my burger/fries was hot, fresh and filled a sizeable hole in my gut. The dog was happy - yes, canines allowed on the outside deck, not in the bar, perhaps due to the lack of a posable thumbs this increasing beer spillage. Staff great, wildlife (animals) not customers will keep you entertained - just watch your chips. Give em a go.

This is a great spot for a meal. We had Sunday lunch there. We were greeted at the entrance by the COVID Marshal - not an officious regulatory official but a friendly face who quickly completed the COVID checking and then made sure that the serving staff took good care of us. We were able to sit outside on the deck under cover with a nice outlook over an arm of Lake Eildon. All the staff were very friendly and food service was quick. The menu is typical pub food and we played safe with the pub "favourites" - chicken parma and beer battered flathead tails - both were very tasty and more than sufficient for a full meal for both of us. We also sampled some local cider which was very tasty.

Situated on the Goulburn River arm of Lake Eildon this country Micro Brewery will give them city micro breweries a run for their money. Not only can you ride your motorcycle or drive your car there you can also turn up on a house boat, boat or JetSki but make sure you stick to 5 knots as the area is well policed and there are people doing non powered water sports in the area. Excellent food and choice of beers, my favourites are the Porterhouse Steak with Pepper sauce and the burger. Having said that all the meals are great. Try the Raspberry beer for something different 👍🏻

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service from the Kitchen Staff

I've been a loyal customer for 20 years, but the customer service from the kitchen staff has significantly deteriorated. If there's an issue with your order, do yourself a favor and don’t mention it – the backlash isn’t worth it.

On Sunday, I ordered the brewery special pizza, but a brewery burger was mistakenly entered instead. I understand that mistakes happen, especially in a noisy environment. However, instead of simply correcting the mistake, I was told I had to go back to the counter to reprocess the order. Given that the price difference was just $1 (in the restaurant’s favor), this seemed unnecessary and poor customer service.

What truly shocked me was the response from the kitchen staff. Instead of a simple apology, I was yelled at and belittled in front of a line of waiting customers. One of the staff even gloated to the next customer about "putting me in my place," which was unprofessional and humiliating.

This experience completely ruined my visit. I won’t be returning, and I’ll be encouraging others to consider alternative venues like the Jamieson Pub or the Kevington Hotel, where the food and beer are just as good, but the customer service is...

We attended the Jamieson Brewery on Friday the 5th of February 2021. It was our first time in Jamieson and first time at the Brewery. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. From the time we walked in we were greeted with smiles and superb customer service. But the highlight for us was the food!!! I ordered the chicken risotto and I can honestly say it was the best risotto I have ever had! I am very fussy when it comes to risotto's and it is not often I will order this dish at new places as have had bad experiences in the past, but I am so glad I did as this risotto was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the pie and also found his meal to be delicious. The kids were happy campers with their nuggets and chips. Ciders were beautiful. The environment was great and so friendly and family orientated. We cannot wait to come back to Jamieson and to come back to the Brewery for dinner and drinks. Thank you for having us and for an overall great experience. Lastly I have to mention the shuttle bus and how great this service is, we were picked up from our accommodation and transported back to our accommodation which allowed us a few drinks and to really unwind and relax. Great service. Thanks...

Not too bad but won’t be rushing back… The first place in all our years of travel all across Oz to some of the most remote parts of this country where I have been told water IS NOT FREE! Was told by staff they have an exemption due to not have access to town water, but saw a drinking water truck delivering water into Jamieson today, perhaps this is a way to amend this! I wish we had known before had as I would have just brought my own water. Was given one bottle (600ml) after expressing my concern as this is a place that serves in-house alcohol (RSA regs) and also as a breastfeeding mother who simply needed a drink of water. Lamb salad was average, two pieces of lamb, lovely sauce but lots of lettuce. Partner loved the porterhouse steak, kitchen team were very accommodating to his dietary needs, including looking at packet ingredients uses in sauces to see if he could have any. Many thanks for your meals, would love to see water...
