What a "hidden gem" for lunch. We stopped here for lunch and don't judge a book by it's cover...as we were pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a pub! The meals were fantastic! Portions were huge, service very friendly and meals were delicious!! I had the lunch special "Ham and Pineapple Parmy" $25.00 and my hubby went for the Lamb Cutlets for $38.00 (received 3 x good sized cutlets). Both meals were fabulous and the best seasoned chips we have had in a long time!! Kitchen looked super clean! Patrons and Staff were very friendly. Definitely worth stop!! We will be back!!

Friendly staff and welcoming, any beer on tap however tastes horrid! It smells and tastes like rotten fruit! Whether its the dirty glasses or the lines need to be cleaned i dont know but i tried 3 different beers before i bought a spirit, the food isnt too bad for the price i guess, i had the lamb cutlets good country pub feel...

Stayed here in pub room with ensuite for two nights on a motorcycle trip from Queensland to Tasmania with my wife. Best bed, pub food and even local craft beer on the NSW leg. It doesn’t look much from the outside but was really welcoming. Short ride to Rylstone for good breakfast and then on to Ferntree Gully walk.

I have stayed at this motel many times and have never been disappointed. The rooms are huge, spotlessly clean, well appointed and have everything you could need. Great beds, complimentary toiletries, fluffy towels. Julie has been running this place for 17 years and is moving on. The motel is a credit to her. The best country town motel I've ever stayed in and a lot better than many big city motels. The price has been $85 for a single room for as long as I can remember. Great location with a pub next door that serves great pub food at good prices and a cafe and bakery just a short walk away. Could not ask for more. I hope Julie enjoys her retirement and also hope the new owners keep this place as good...

Next door to the Kandos Motel. Stayed a couple of nights, room was fairly small but OK, looked recently renovated. Toilet, shower and hand basin but no wardrobe so you have to use the desk either as a desk or for putting your case on. Room heater (air con) worked OK when it got going. Room was quiet. Staff friendly. Main negatives were no wifi and the breakfast which you had to get yourself in the breakfast room - plain white bread, old plates and cups, everyone helped themselves to the communal butter, toaster didnt work properly, no honey, etc. etc. - pretty awful really, even for a continental breakfast. Other meals at the hotel restaurant were good. Would stay again but would try and find breakfast...
