Very high standard of food with their chef arranging a compact menu that covers all bases. Nice to know they are owned by a family that has been on KI for generations. What a view out over the water. Booking recommended at peak times, Christmas, Easter etc. Impeccable attentive service, my favorite dishes well....I guess any of their fish, however they make probably the BEST Hamburger I have had, juicy, full of flavor on a toasted brioche bun that has been perfectly toasted and cleverly protected from liquid by a layer of melted cheese keeping the bread basically from getting soggy till the last bit, well done. Makes you wonder why everyone is not using this smart method? So if you want a meal with a view, this a 100% perfect spot! With the equal best chips I have ever had, with Penfolds Magil Restaurant many years ago, and outstanding coffee.

Lady who I assumed was owner with blonde hair was a racist. Complaining about international tourists and the fact they can't "drive on the right side of the road" also complaining about tourists going near the seals. Just an overall rude lady. Had this place in my 'to go' list for ages but the menu wasn't huge. The man, whom I assume is the cook was nice and friendly, however the Yiros I ordered was 40% onion, 40% Lettuce 20% everything else. Wasn't that nice. Only good thing was the view. In response to your response; it was definitely your cafe & I attended the establishment on the October long weekend (2nd Oct). You had a limited menu & you were chatting to the lady and gentleman who had the stalls at the boat shed - right next door.

Wow, this is a great place to stop and eat. A quiet, picturesque, location by the water with pelicans. Easy parking. Coffee. The eggs Benedict was very well done, and might even have used real Hollandaise sauce...In which case, even better, beyond the norm! A simple dish executed perfectly. The smashed avo looked impressive too as just one more of the numerous things on offer, including fresh fish and chips. It'd definitely be our daily local if we stayed in the area more than the night. Drop in for breakfast or lunch, and you'll be satisfied.

The lady who took our order was very welcoming, friendly and was very open to conversation. The other lady who was there was rude, dismissive and rushed us to make our order as she said the chef was waiting. After reading the reviews we have realised that she is dismissive to most customers and does not take well to any feedback, she does respond positively to any feedback even though the place has great potential. The lady who took our order gave us a table and the rude lady decided to give it to the white family that walked in after us and she told us to go and sit outside, very racist and extremely rude. The chef was very friendly but the food was a disappointment, the fish was fresh but had several bones and the plate it was served on was dirty. The customer service from the rude lady ruined our overall experience. The outside tables and chairs were dirty. I do...

Not a good experience at all. We were here in April and I found the owner to be extremely rude. Food was very average, seemed to all be frozen and could only eat about half of it. The owner and chef seemed to be arguing with each other then she was asking my two kids 'if they were going to behave and be good kids for the meal' so weird - not up to you to parent my children.

In addition, she seems to be constantly watching from inside the cafe at people during the day looking at the seal and taking it upon herself to yell at them from out the door. A really bad way to run your business and extremely off-putting. I will never step foot inside this cafe again. It is such a shame, it has sooo much potential with the amazing location right on the wharf. We spoke to locals we know who said that they and friends never go there anymore and many people have had terrible...
