Beautiful cafe with beautiful friendly people.

As a family we visited the Cafe, ordered milkshakes and coffee. Staff were so friendly and welcomed a chat. It was quiet the day we went but it was cold, rainy and wet. The Cafe was such a surprising little gem, it was warm and welcoming from the moment you went in, the furniture was a balanced mixed of wood, leather and stone. The Cafe also supports the township with a small supermarket section that has the basics and surprising little treats, frozen and fresh food is available. Be a great place to get food for a picnic while heading up to the mountain. I enjoyed seeing the eco friendly gifts and crafts that were for sale. There is a display of the snowy scheme and my 4 kids found it interesting to learn about the scheme through the information boards and the tv displays showing the current levels and flows within the dams and pipelines.

This Cafe has great parking, accessibility for wheelchairs and mobility aids. The seating is tables, couches and lounge chairs, so you can find you area to enjoy.

This Cafe would make a fantastic place to organise a group outing to for a lovely day drive and stop there for lunch or afternoon tea. The menu is reasonable and varied. The coffee was smooth and creamy, milkshakes were very yummy and cold. Children are very welcome here, there is even a play pen near the windows that gets the most amazing view of the mountains. There are toys and rubber mats for the kids and couches for parents to sit, relax and enjoy. A parents group meet up would suit this Cafe.

There are clean and fresh public toilets attached to the complex suits all needs.

I would recommend the Cafe highly, drop in if you are driving through and enjoy a beautiful coffee with some...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming cafe and tried their 'Alot Burger' with a side of crispy chips and a refreshing Raspberry Fanta. The 'Alot Burger' exceeded my expectations with its mouthwatering flavors and generous portions. The patty was cooked to perfection, and the combination of toppings created a delightful burst of tastes with each bite. The accompanying chips were crispy and seasoned just right, adding a satisfying crunch to the meal. Washing it all down with the tangy sweetness of Raspberry Fanta was the perfect choice. The overall dining experience was delightful, and I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal...

Stopped here one day and was so good we came back the next day. Great coffee, freshly made food - we had a beef burger and chicken burger, both very fresh, flavoursome and generous size. A banana muffin was delicious as well. Banana bread next day also delicious. Service is very friendly and welcoming, and they are obviously very involved in their community. Also a local grocery store with fresh meat, fruit and veg as well as a large range of grocery items. We visited here a couple of years ago on our travels and it is still a great place to stop for dine in or take away. We will be back. ⭐️...

Pickled Parrot Providore is one of the best cafes I’ve visited. Located just a short distance from the beautiful scenic section of the Alpine Way, it's the perfect spot for a relaxing break. I was impressed by the generous parking and the warm, inviting atmosphere – even during peak hours, we easily found a comfortable seat. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious within budget. I'd love to see a slightly expanded menu in the future, but even as it is, I highly recommend this cafe.

Great place for food and coffee, and almost anything else travellers might need. Excellent selection of food and drink products to buy to take home eg JimJam Foods - soooo yummy! Huge range of Billsons cordials and heaps of other unusual things we filled up our shopping basket with. Has a relaxed eating area and interesting information and memorabilia too. We'll be sure to pop in again when we're in Khancoban.
