Hidden away next to a service station in Kinglake West is a bakery which is a gem of a place. Definitely worth the detour and maybe avoid peak times if you can. The quality at flour flower is excellent and at a much more reasonable price compared to some of the best places in Melbourne metro. I have been told that there is always a line during busy times. Might be time for them to get a second register. Anyway, the blue berry custard danish was a stand out. Amazing, flaky pastry with delicious, smooth and creamy custard filling. Highly recommended for anyone who loves sweet pastries. My partner had a toastie that she loved. My lamb and rosemary pie was very good too. Also had a sample of 3 salads which were healthy and delicious. Service was very good and the food did not take long. So if you’re in the area make sure you visit.

Great bakery, with plenty of parking. We were a table of four, service for items ready to go was timely, and for drinks and toasted items the wait wasn't long. There is seating both inside and out, we had no issue getting a seat inside but l think it was more luck as it wasn't the nicest of mornings. The toasted sandwiches were delicious with a selection for both meat eaters and vegeterian. They also have a good range of hot pies, sausage rolls and assorted salads. I had a hot choclate and it was very rich and chocolatey. Large seletion of sweet pastries to suit all tastes. They also have a selection of rolls and bread available to take home. Added bonus, on the block to the side there are some ponies, sheep, donkeys and a camel. Which were highly entertaining to watch while having a great meal.

Great bakery on the way to Mansfield / Mount Buller from Melbourne, although good to note the actual location is at the Shell petrol station and not where Google Maps take you. Fantastic food quality made with some amazing dough, the breads are amazing! We had the Turkey & Caramalised Onion sandwich that was amazing and the chilly beef pie was really good although really really spicy even for a regular high level spice eater. The Vanilla slice was also really good and so was the Peach Ice tea, not very sweet and very Peachy. Only request to the cafe would be to not charge $1 extra for a soy option for coffees which seemed really high.
