Commercial Hotel Lake Boga — Restaurant in Lake Boga

There was children running around barefoot and climbing on the bar to no concern of the bar staff or owners. Workers behind the bar were serving our drinks while on the phone, horrible and extremely poor customer service. There were people walking behind the bar to put their phone on charge and serving themselves to the fridges with a cigarette in their mouth. We had a family of 7 come in for a family dinner and one meal was forgotten completely, some meals came out immediately and the others came out at random times. This made it very hard to enjoy a meal together. When we expressed that a meal had been missed we were told "not my fault". The staff seemed as though they hated working there and were not friendly at all. Quite disappointing....

We called in here by chance for lunch. As a rule, I often read the 1* reviews to see what ridiculous things people say about a place and then make my own judgement.

We were welcomed by the publican as soon as we walked through the doors and asked if we would like a drink.

Beers were cold, as was my hard solo.

We ordered a boga burger and fish and chips and I have to say we had a fabulous meal. Portions were plentiful and the accompanying salad and chips were fresh and cooked to perfection. (I loved the addition of pasta salad - haven’t had it in years and it was delicious).

Don’t take photos as we ate too fast.

Highly recommended as a good old fashioned...

We have just left after a fantastic meal out for our anniversary. We are staying at the local caravan park and the pub was recommended. I mentioned when booking that it was our anniversary and they set up a table for us with balloons, candle and hearts. The meals were fantastic, Bruschetta, Chicken Stack and Scotch Fillet.
