Conjola bowling club, sth coast NSW. An Australian icon of places to find a cold beer a welcoming smile.
This not just lawn bowls, this is a whole community, waiting to be explored.
The atmosphere is open warm and friendly, the feel is casual and easy.
The Bistro has become the place to feed the family
The food is a mix between casual family dining and upmarket bistro
The casual dining options are delicious, a great place for the kids to eat, but offers a number of up market options for the adults.
Takeout pizza is also available, and well worth the order.
The staff are friendly and well organised, service is on point and sharp.
The Bar staff are fabulous, and very quick.
This a must do, a courtesy bus operates for the local area and it has a great area if you feel the need for a bet or two.
The bowling greens are exceptional. If your looking for old school honest open and honest locations- this is one of those destinations.
I joined the club immediately and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
I do not often give 5 stars, but this is...

Salt and pepper calamari was pretty average despite looking amazing. No real flavour and rubbery. My pasta meal was fair, but quite poor value at 30 bucks. I'd have added meat but it's was already way overpriced. The pizza looked good but was very low quality and not very nice...... awful actually. It's a reasonable atmosphere. About average as far as these establishments go. No reason for us to return here again anytime soon. The overall expense is out of control and unjustified given the quality...
Read moreWhile the food is typical pub style food and great value for money, the service leaves a lot to be desired. We were met with rude women at the door demanding our vaccination certificates (which we were already showing) and our drivers licences to sign in (since when do we sign in to a bowling club?!) and then our booking couldn't be found so we were shoved aside in a small alcove while someone else looked into it. We were then made to feel very rushed the entire dinner, with waitresses taking each empty plate as it was available and constantly hovering. The meal itself took a while to come out, but it was very busy. Overall 4 stars as the food was good, portions were great, menu had great variety. The loss of the star is purely...
