The food here was fantastic and we really enjoyed the boat cruise. However, we had some feedback to provide and I both emailed this to Wyanga Park, and responded to the automatic feedback email they later sent me, and I’ve never heard back from either three weeks later. One person in our group was unable to drink due to a chronic health issue. Firstly when they said to the waiter that they weren’t drinking, he loudly said “what, are you pregnant? Or hoping to be?” I don’t think this was meant to be hurtful, but it was really inappropriate and could be pretty upsetting for anyone experiencing fertility issues. It might be worth asking your staff to just reply “no worries” next time someone says they aren’t drinking/can’t drink. We asked if a Coke could be provided instead of the wines and the waitress then serving us said yes. It wasn’t until after we had paid that we realised we had been charged for the Coke on top of lunch, despite one adult in our party not consuming any alcohol. $5 doesn’t break the bank for us, I think it was an accident, but I’ll never know as I never received a response. Again, the experience was well worth the money overall, the food was great as was the scenery and boat trip.

Had an amazing time here. Got a cruise from Lakes Entrance to the winery, lovely commentary on route. On arrival small bus up hill to winery. Once inside greeted by friendly staff, sampled some lush wines and located table. Inside is rustic and the tables were not high end but in keeping with the winery feel. Gorgeous Pear Paste came with cheese platter to start, then had a lovely fish, chips and salad to follow then dessert. Could not fault the food, staff super friendly and helpful. Cruise back to shore and took from 11am to 3pm so well worth the money. Would I recommend, most definately. They as in the winery allow camper vans to park for free on their property. Obviously its worth having a meal whilst there. I explored the grounds post lunch and enjoyed the views prior to leaving. Not for those with mobility issues as in the tour however if you drive up then no mobility issues on arrival.

This was our 3rd or 4th visit to Wyanga Park Winery and Restaurant as a couple, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The food is consistently excellent—no complaints at all. If anything, the hardest part is choosing what to eat because everything on the menu sounds so good! We started with the baked Brie to share, and honestly, it was incredible—so moorish we both agreed we could have happily had it as our main course. The dessert menu posed the same “problem”—too many fantastic options and only so much room! The service was warm, enthusiastic, and attentive, and the setting has that cozy, homey charm that makes you want to linger a little longer. We happily recommend Wyanga Park to anyone visiting Lakes Entrance and will absolutely return—again!

Well that was dysfunctional. Easter Sunday, so maybe things aren’t normally like this. This was our dining timeline:

1pm - arrival 1.20pm - hadn’t been offered menus so had to catch a staff member’s attention and ask for them. Inexplicably this didn’t include a drinks menu so I went looking for one myself and ended up borrowing one from neighbouring diners. 1.45pm - we had to flag down a staff member to take our order. 2.15pm - two dishes out of six were brought to the table. 2.25 - remaining dishes brought to table, except for my bread and my mum’s tea 2.40pm - had to follow up with staff about bread and tea. By this point my kids had well and truly lost the plot. 2.45 - bread and tea brought to table and I’m still baffled about what caused bread (which wasn’t hot from the oven) and tea to take so long. 3pm - went to counter to pay. It’s not signed where you do this and was ignored by several team members and had to ask if I was in right spot. Turns out I wasn’t so I moved to spot I thought was the right one. 10 minutes later I’m still ignored, staff serving customers around me. I had to ask again and finally realised the correct (unsigned) spot to pay. After such a drawn-out dining experience, having to wait so long to pay really made my eyeballs twitch. I’m sure it’s annoying to have expectant customers waiting in a spot they’re not supposed to but please, just tell them?

In all of this, staff didn’t seem aware of their surrounds, almost avoiding eye contact. Maybe the working environment isn’t great for them and if so, that’s a shame.

Whether this all happened because of poor training and ill-conceived processes, it left a very bitter taste for all of us. While the quality of the food was fine, it’s very expensive for what it is. Eg. $32 for gummy shark which is served with Bird’s Eye beer battered chips. My bread was served with dukka that had no detectable spice - it was untoasted nuts and seeds. Not offensive but also but dukka.

Beyond this, my husband who isn’t particularly big couldn’t sit properly in his seat because a chair from another table behind him was too close. The dining room was so full of tables and chairs that both staff and customers couldn’t get around them. That seems like an OH&S risk to me.

Hope Wyanga Park management can take these points on board because it’d be a shame if more customers have similar experiences to this. I had been really looking forward to coming here given the overall Google rating and the way it...

We visited Wyanga Park Winery for their Mexican Night dinner and were absolutely delighted! We found the winery easily using Google Maps, and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warm, rustic atmosphere. The venue itself is super cosy, filled with quirky artwork and creative touches that make it feel more like a hidden treasure than just a winery.

The night was buzzing — clearly a favourite among locals and travellers alike — but the team handled the busy crowd beautifully. We started with a wine tasting, which was a lovely way to sample their range (highly recommend the whites!). It was a great way to ease into the evening and pick up a bottle or two for home.

Dinner was the highlight — I had the chicken fajitas, and my husband had the deconstructed tacos. Both meals were fresh, generous in portion, and packed with flavour. You can tell a lot of love and care goes into their food. Despite it being Mexican night, the ingredients and presentation felt refined, not rushed.

Another great touch is the little shop area where you can buy their wines, as well as local jams and artisan products — a perfect way to support small producers in the area.

We will definitely be back next time we’re in Lakes Entrance. This is the kind of place you stumble across and immediately want to tell all your friends about. Whether you’re going for the wine, the food, or just to soak in the vibe, Wyanga Park...
