Evenfall Winery and Restaurant — Restaurant in Launceston

We were looking for a unique experience that could cater to a group of 10+. I was originally concerned with some of the earlier ratings that I saw, especially for larger groups. They must have addressed these concerns, which is a testament to management monitoring reviews and listening to customers.

We had a great experience that included wine tasting and a fabulous meal with such interesting flavors. Our group included children as well as wine connoisseurs. Even in the middle of winter, we were blessed with a beautiful day so were able to enjoy the wine tasting on the deck with the view of the lake. Leroy was very knowledgable with wonderful recommendations on how to enhance our experience. The oysters with the raspberry vinaigrette was a great complement to the wine tasting.

Harry took care of our table, including options off the menu for the little ones. I'm generally not a big fish person but I'm so glad that we ordered their special with blue-eye trevalla (something we don't have in the States). It was cooked to perfection, melting in my mouth with amazing flavor profile.

Justine (the host) recommended that we lunched family style so that we all got to try a number of different dishes and desserts. What a great idea that was! In addition to the ambiance, the staff was wonderful.

We had a different group of friends come into town and decided to go back the following week. As it was raining, we did the wine tasting in the tasting room, which was also just as nice around the big table. I liked that the specials had changed a bit so that we could try other dishes. I love the care in gastronomy on the menu with the blending of local ingredients. When the rain subsided, we got to walk around the vineyards and see the little 'church' area. The views were just as beautiful, especially with the magical rainbow gracing us on the way out. This would be a great event venue...

I was recently lucky enough to experience Evenfall Wines and Restaurant in Launceston, Tasmania! What a complete gem of a location !!. The combination of their exquisite wines and the new restaurant menu creates an unforgettable experience that is an absolute must for anyone visiting the area. 7/4/24 we had lunch for my fiance's 65th birthday. It was our first time visiting Evenfall on the recommendation of a colleague. Wow what an awesome experience. Awesome service and food. Beautiful setting and views. Great wine. We had the best afternoon even though the weather wasn't that nice the atmosphere inside was delightful. A hidden treasure I'd say. Would certainly recommend anyone to visit and enjoy a high end meal and service amongst the vines. We will definitely be back and definitely spread the word about this newly established restaurant.
