Ordered a âWagyu steak and eggsâ during breakfast and was served âfully loaded wagyuâ instead.
Went over to check with the staff who took my order if it was served correctly. She told me that it is a fully loaded Wagyu and informed me that it was what I ordered, showing me the order form which she had written down in acronyms. She told me it was what I ordered which she remembered me pointing towards the part of the menu saying the order. I told her itâs fine but the order was wrong and walked away to finish my wrong order.
I saw a certificate on the wall saying the shop had something to do with a course on hospitality. I came to google review to check out the reviews (under dine in) and saw there were at least 2 other reviews stating that there were wrong orders as well.
This place has a way to go for getting their ordering system and hospitality right. Perhaps if they took an approach towards helping the customers instead of finding out who is in the right or wrong, they might grow as an...
Read moreIt's such a cute little cafe. Its location might seem like a run of the mill cafe in a small suburban shopping centre, but it's really quite quaint and has a nice trendy, warm industrial feel to it. The eggs Benedict was so yummy, I especially like that they didn't use ciabtta or turkish bread that goes cold and hard to cut if you like to savour your food instead of scoffing it down. The bickies they serve with the delicious coffee were so tasty & were a nice accompaniment to the coffee. Service was great for a Sunday, but what would've improved it was informing customers a new chef had started that day, and meals might come with a small delay when they order instead of when the food arrived. None the less the lovely staff were very apologetic about it, and the food was incredible and very worth the small extra wait. I'm looking forward to...
Read more$80+ dollars for undercooked bacon and English muffin. When I mentioned this at the counter she didn't charge me for the cappuccino - the cheapest drink out of the 4 ordered. Never again. Happy to pay good money for good food, not good money for food I can cook at home better. Edited to add, as I can not reply to this disgusting comment from Toast cafe I thought I'd do it here. I was with my family, my partner and 2 daughters, not my friends so whomever you spoke in regards to my complaint had obviously dished up more than one bad meal that day. I did NOT demand a refund at all, when asked how my meal was I simply said I was not happy but my daughter had finished it so all was well. Fact check before accusing people of things. Word of mouth is your best and worst publicity, well played...
