Meryle’s — Restaurant in Laura

Very friendly staff & delightful atmosphere. Located off the main street on a cosy corner. I bought a Ned Kelly pie for my Father & a Chicken & Mushroom Filo for myself & they both tasted delicious. Thankyou. We bought a cuppacino & chai latte aswel. They also have a wide variety of flavoured icecreams which are either served in a cone or cup. (Single & double scooped). My son enjoyed the Cookies & Cream Flavour. Comfortable seeting inside and beautifully polished timber tables & chairs outside (they tell a story). A gift shop next door selling a range of souvenirs, artefacts, vintage & new, fancy cookware to fancy flavoured chocolates and jams. Funny wall plaques, all of which will make you wet your pants from laughing at the sayings. (So bring a change of undies). An art gallery upstairs, too. The worst service ever. Or should I say zero service? We waited for 10 minutes, hoping to get some ice cream. 2 females in store. Both looked in my eyes, and then one went on the back, another started writing something on the glass door. We just walked out with my 13-year-old daughter fairly disappointed. We were visiting Laura from Adelaide, and that was a very bad representation of the local community and Golden...

A bit hit and miss unfortunately. We were here 3 months ago,the food and coffee was superb! We revisited today, ordered the same food and coffee. The pie was dry, s o hard it was difficult to cut even with a knife, the coffee was undrinkable. The only saving grace was the vanilla slice. Definately won't be returning...
