Unfortunately, our experience was far from complimentary. We arrived and gave our name to the young girl who greeted us. She smiled, walked away and then a minute later returned asking if we had any questions. "Yes", I replied, "Could you show us to our table?" She then stated, "oh you can just sit anywhere" and then walked away! Not a great start. Food Ordered Calamari - which was good but served with fruit chutney (looked like from a jar) was not a good pairing. Scallops - scallops were tough and were not fresh but frozen and you could tell they had freezer burn on 2 of the edges. Belly Pork - came with a liquid soup of a maple syrup that had floating apples in it. Pork was tough and crackling was underdone. Stuffed Fish - the fish was very dry and tasted funny, again frozen not fresh, laksa style sauce was good but it did not come with jasmine rice (or if it was it was overcooked and reduced to tiny bits, it looked like short grain rice). Creme Brulee - whilst the custard was very good, it came out freezing cold! It seems that they took a premade one straight out the fridge. When we ordered wine, I had to ask 3 times for it to be brought over and then on the 4th occasion, the waitress asked if I wanted a bottle or a glass (we ordered a bottle originally and she even told us she will leave a note at the bar to bring it out when we are served our meals). When she brought the wine out in the ice bucket, she asked me if I wanted to open the bottle or do I want her to do it! By this point I just told her to leave it with me I had had enough. I'm not sure why people call the service great when they cannot get the simplest of tasks right and the food was nowhere up to standard. For a night out to cost over $180 for a very ordinary experience, we will...

What a beautiful experience! Celebrating my 'other half's' birthday 17th Feb., we visited here for a lunch date. I can honestly say I was extremely impressed. From the warm inviting ambience as you enter the restaurant, the friendly staff show you to your table and produce chilled water and menus. The food was amazing, as was the service. I opted for a 'starter of 'prawn cocktail', (hadn't had one in years!) it was the biggest I've ever seen, it was so good. Hubby ordered the 'cobb loaf' as a starter and we couldn't believe how delicious it was, warm and crumbly and melted in the mouth splathered in churned butter. We both ordered the veal scallopini which was also delicious with the fine blend of wine and mushrooms. I indulged in a glass of cool Rose, while he who must be obeyed, settled for a scotch and dry. The staff were happy to furnish a container to bring the remains of mine home as I'm a small eater. However, I did leave room for the creme brulee, soooo nice, topped with sweet crunchy toffee shards. We both finished with tasty coffee. This place was as good as, or better than ANY restaurant we have been to. The not so far drive from home, will definitely see us going back again. We also appreciated there was no blaring music or loud conversations in the dining room and we could actually speak to each other like a 'real date'. Atmosphere, staff, food and prices, all worth the trip. Thank you to all that...

Well we have been looking at this place for a while . So I got a text at work from my good lady that we were going for tea .. OMG walking in to the place the friendliness of the staff and layout just hits you .. we were given a few options of seating and we were soon sat down and a very nice young lady bought us menus she came back shortly after to take our drinks and food order .. all while being friendly and very well mannered I then got another smack in the face when our loaf with garlic butter came out .. a round loaf fresh hot and with a plate of garlic butter cut the bread yourself and spread it on .. now I come from a family of bakers and chefs and I’m telling you now the loaf was cooked to perfection and both the wife and I said omg it’s worth coming just for that alone as it was just Devine .

My main was the chicken and bacon linguine and that just melted in my mouth .. the only complaint I had was that the serving was a little large and I couldn’t finish it all ..😢 The wife had the pork and again she said it was beautifully cooked to perfection and fully enjoyed both meals. If we could give a 10 out of 10 rating we would Qudos to all the staff and chefs here they are a credit to the place and we will definitely recommend and be back again To anyone reading this review give it a try you won’t be...

Went for dinner on a busy Friday night, so book ahead to avoid disappointment. It's not a huge place but that makes the attention you get from staff pretty good. The food is very good. I had the entree size chowder that came with two generous pieces of toasted Turkish bread. The other meal was honey mustard chicken and the sauce was delicious and the chicken perfectly cooked. I also had creme brullee for dessert and is probably one of the best ones I have had in a very long time. Perfect consistency and the toffee crust was spot on. My only gripe was some other restaurant diners. A family came in with 3 kids. Kids make noise, there's no doubt about that. The problem lies when the parents bury their noses in their phones and let their kids run around other people trying to eat their meal in peace and becoming a tripping hazard for staff trying to avoid them as they clear tables and deliver hot food. The food at this place is outstanding and for that I'll be back!

We recently enjoyed a family get-together at Jimboomba House, a rare occasion for parents, kids and partners to all gather. Although having visited Jimboomba House on multiple occasions, this was the first in quite some time and, I'm happy to say, our favourite. Without going into great detail, the service, meals, drinks, and desserts were all wonderful. All selections were expertly prepared and flavoursome, and serving sizes were ample. The premises is always inviting and warm, so it was pleasing that all other aspects were as positive. When there's 8 people sitting at a table and the biggest area of concern is the consistency of the nevertheless much enjoyed Creme Brulee, then you know that, as a business, you've succeeded. Jimboomba House has been a mainstay in the local dining scene for many years and remains a strong and stable contributor, to this very day. I look forward to our next visit and wish them ongoing success.
