Asian Feast — Restaurant in Loxton

I'm always a little sceptical buying fish from a take away so far from the ocean but Fred said this place has excellent fish n chips. We got two fish and chips deals and headed home to eat it all with the coleslaw we made earlier. Honestly, the fish was the best battered fish I've ever had. Not greasy, super crunchy and beautifully light flesh (butterfish). The chips were crunchy and a plenty, there was even some slices of lemon in each pack. Two packs was enough to feed three of us as each pack had two magnificent fillets. This is one of those places that you refer to as the standard when you get fish elsewhere. Well done. I'm so very keen to try their other menu items, which ranges from traditional Indian dishes, global Asian favourites, an array of kebabs, an assortment of unique burgers, the usual ubiquitous fried foods, a bevy of pizzas AND even vegetarian dishes. We were at Loxton on Good Friday. Nothing open except Asian Feast, we thought about it for a bit but went in. They serve literally everything but unfortunately they don’t appear to have mastered one dish. We ordered a tandoor chicken burger and a fried noodles and a bottle of sunkist. $40 spent and the best thing was the sunkist. My wife asked what the noodles were and they were fried with vegetables so she asked for chicken to be added and hot chilli. Dish came out and we couldn’t see any vegetables and there was no chilli. The taste was, in my wife’s words, “the worst fried noodles of my life”. The burger was below average and the tandoori chicken was tasteless. The service was fine, the young man very helpful but frankly we would have been better off buying a hot chicken from the supermarket for $10. This was my first time eating at Asian feast, through accounts of people telling me that it’s very good I tried it since I was in Loxton, I bought chips and a barbecue bacon burger, the price of it overall shocked me because it $25 for large chips and a burger which turned out to be severely undercooked, I ate it and it tasted fine but the patty of the burger was a little raw so I didn’t finish off the patty, about 30 minutes later I felt very sick and I started to feel light headed so I sat down to try to make myself feel better and then I threw up due to the burger.
