Being the only option to eat in the area we had low expectations and even brought our own food to cook at our accommodation in case this place was rubbish (we're from hospitality, so pretty picky about what we eat) - boy were we wrong! Day one arriving we went to check it out and were blown away with how beautiful the interior is with an amazing view out to bush and the ocean! Match that with their super friendly service, very fair pricing and delicious food we couldn't have been more impressed. Safe to say, we didn't touch any of the food we brought with us to cook and enjoyed every meal here for 4 days and everyday we loved the place more and more. If you took the venue including the staff and placed it in any big city, you'd be paying at least double the price and have to book months in advance. After dinner you can have fun playing pool or try your luck catching chocolates for a laugh and go for a walk along the jetty. We are extremely lucky to have found this special gem! Keep up the great work guys 🙌

⭐ 2/5 – A Bucket of Fries, a Mountain of Salad, and a Teaspoon of Seafood We ordered the seafood bucket for two, expecting a hearty, shared seafood experience. What we got instead was… mostly carbs and leaves. The meal was served on a tray (not a bucket), and looked more like a sampler platter than a seafood feast. It included: • A huge pile of French fries (basically 50% of the tray) • A generous mountain of salad (about 25% of the tray) • And then a tiny patch of seafood: • Just 2 small fish fillets • 5 shrimp, • 4 mussels, • And a handful of calamari For $ 75 If you’re really hungry or hoping for a seafood-filled meal, this isn’t it. The flavor was average, but the portion size and value just didn’t match the name or the price. We left full — mostly from fries — but not satisfied. More “fried food tray for one” than “seafood bucket for two.” Disappointing for the cost.

Last minute trip to Yorke Peninsula: dinner at the Marion Bay Tavern on a Saturday night. This placed was packed! Super super busy night. Service was quick and pretty friendly. The food was actually outstanding! . Oysters: half Kilpatrick and half chimichurri - both were excellent! Really fresh oysters. . Pasta of the day: seafood marinara spaghetti - this was really nice! Wasn't cheap though, but the seafood quality was excellent. Big prawns and big scallops with really nice squid. Tasty sauce too. . Full rack of ribs: wow this was sooooooo good! The meat literally fell off the bone! Melts in your mouth. Tasty sauce too. Perfect dish.

straight up, the main fault if this place is the inconsistency. ive been going here since i could walk and it used to be exceptional, especially the pizza. the food it still great-fresh seafood especially, however some things are just pushed to the side and not done well enough. salad is dry, my eggplant in my burger was greasy and my prawns were over cooked. however back to the consistency issue, sometimes the salad is fresh, sometimes things are cooked perfectly, sometimes there isn't too much ham on the pizza etc. it's very hit or miss and if i wasn't someone who comes to Marion bay regularly, and have experienced the good meals, i might be slightly deterred, especially as this is the only plain to get a good meal in the whole bay. one amazing thing though, for staff are beyond kind and my family have become very familiar with them, especially josh the owner, and the previous owner robyn. despite the few issues, this place does have a great atmosphere, and food for the most part. we will always be coming back with...
