The morning started off rough... I don't want to use google reviews as a forum for complaint about my life and the choices I've made leading up to this point... but here we are. Benson had finally summoned the motivation required to begin his journey to a 1.8L mirage, and here I was dragging him away to find breakfast. The mighty VT whisked us off to Bunyip Bakery, and there I spied a Parma pie nestled amongst the other baked delights. "I'll take that and sauce, please." If you've followed my misadventures here, you'll know how I feel about "sauceflation" here in Australia. A pie needs sauce, but the sauce packet can somehow cost up to 80c. How? Everyone pays the same for a box of sauce thingies. It's the principal of the damned thing. I asked the lovely lady behind the counter how much sauce costs? There was no mention of price upon the menu... guess why? "If you buy a pie, you get sauce. It's free. Like it should be. Like it always was" I almost broke into applause. I've travelled thousands of k's, eating pies all around this country, longing for a bloody fair go, and the true Australia was just down the road from home. Everything is gonna be alright.

Have had many things there, and everything is delicious. Sourdough grain on Thursday is fantastic. Jam donuts are next level. Have bought their cakes as well. Apple tea cake is a favourite and had 2 of their Oreo celebration cakes. The presentation is a surprise within itself. The staff are so friendly and their talent of creations is 2nd to none. It's worth a visit even if you're driving past its 2 mins of the Princess Highway and own 7 days a week from very early..

Grabbed a few things on my way through, as I heard some good reviews. Pies were awesome, sausage rolls were top notch, Cornish pastie was like my grandmother used to make, the vanilla slice and bee-sting was out of this world. Service was as you would expect for a small country town bakery, warmly and welcoming. Will definitely...
