DADDY BAR — Restaurant in Melbourne

Came here for the Flock of DJs night. Very cool little bar deck out in Nostalgia from many time periods with a pastiche of art on the walls and books and board games. It’s very Brunswick. The music was pumping and a steady stream of people in and out dancing. Allows dogs in.

The toilet is around the corner which is a bit hard to find initially. And would be a cold wait on a winter night. But I had an amazing time here and will come back.

I had a rough go at Daddy Bar. Not long after I rocked up, this fiery little bloke with bright red hair stormed over, accusing me of nicking his bag of drugs. The whole thing was bloody weird and made me feel pretty uncomfortable.

What really threw me, though, was the barmaid—she just stood there watching like it was no big deal, like she’d seen it all before. Didn’t even bat an eye. The whole vibe was off, so I bailed pretty quick. Safe to say, I won’t be heading back to Daddy Bar...

Found this bar by chance with two friends on a night out in Brunswick and can't wait to go back. It's got this wonderful, friendly, warm and cosy classic Brunswick vibe, and the staff were so helpful and welcoming.

We had the Espresso Martinis and a couple glasses of wine, sadly we'd already booked dinner elsewhere, but I look forward to coming back to try the food and other drinks in...
