The donuts looked lovely but i was severely disappointed by the incompetence of the staff. Me and my brother ordered two bubble fruit teas and received no pearls in our tea. We essentially paid 10 dollars for two drinks of cordial. No mention of the lack of the bubbles in the tea, (we only realised when we were getting in the car). The person manning the cashier didn’t know if there was even a surcharge and took an exceptionally long time to make our subpar drinks. Yet i must give the shop some credit, while we didn’t order any food it seemed to have a great range of donuts, sweet slices and drinks. Dodee's Doughnuts is a fantastic little gem nestled in Boronia. It's so easy to pop in, which is great for a quick treat. I've been a few times now, and the doughnuts are always fresh and delicious – seriously tasty! You can tell they put a lot of care into their baking. What really makes the place special, though, is the staff. They're all super friendly and welcoming, and the manager (I think he's the owner?) is just lovely. He's really caring and seems to genuinely appreciate his customers. The shop itself is spotless and well-organized, and they always seem to have some kind of deal going on, so there's something for everyone. Paid $12 for a cinnamon donut and supershake The supershake was supposed to be a cadbury shake. It just tasted like cheap nasty chocolate syrup! And they missed the toppings. I had to ask where they were. Apparently tim tam toppings. But tasted like cheap chocolate nibs. Not overly pleasant.. The cinnamon donut looked like a hot jam donut. No hole in the middle. Plus the container the donut came in made the donut soggy... Please in future, use a paper bag for the hot donuts. It would be cheaper than the styrene container the donut came in.
