Fathers Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

I usually order pizza on a very regular basis from Godfathers. It is usually delivered fast and hot and is always good. HOWEVER, the other night i ordered pizza from here and the driver delivered it to the wrong address. When I called to politely enquirer about my pizza I was told it was already delivered. I then assured the person I spoke to I didn’t get my pizza and they basically accused me of lying and that It was entirely my own fault.

Now, I am an understanding person and totally get human error and that people lie. What I was hoping was they would make me a new pizza send it out and upon arrival in my street and calling my number realize they delivered my pizza to the wrong address and apologize. That was not what happened. I was yelled at by several employees, hung up on twice and wasted far too much of my night trying to re order my pizza as well as being accused of lying. This was the absolute without a doubt WORST customer service I have EVER received. I asked to talk to a manager or owner but was flat out refused. When I was hung up on the second time I gave up. Then about an hour later the driver came by, called me, realized her mistake and apologized and tried to make this right. I was expecting the owner or upper management to call me and then re apologize. This didn’t happen. I will NEVER be ordering of Godfathers EVER again purely from the treatment I received. For a $14 pizza it’s a bit ridiculous that they couldn’t just re make one and send it out to check, considering it wouldn’t cost them that much. I am understandable of human error and mistakes but for almost EVERY employee who works at this shop (I spoke to about 5 people total) to treat me like rubbish and be so disrespectful of the customer I won’t ever waste my time with this place again. It’s a pity really because up until now I Loved this pizza and ordered FAR too much of it. Great pizza is NEVER worth the horrendous customer service. I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE to order their pizza elsewhere. Don’t risk the POOR SERVICE...

I have lived in Brunswick for 8 months and have been looking for a replacement pizza delivery for my monthly pizza. I like old school (New York style?) rather than the current Italian style, but like quality. After working through 4 different places, I saw Fathers while I was in Sydney Rd and made a mental note to give it a go. That night I checked reviews and almost automatically crossed it of my list, but thought “what the heck” as it is a process of elimination. Wow - we got great service (pizza arrived promptly), great pricing and most importantly, the pizza was the best we have tried in Brunswick. It was delivered hot, thin crust (not too thin), cooked well (brown on the bottom, not burnt on top) and good ingredients (recipe). Perception is reality, and I understand the disappointment of the 1 and 2 star reviewers, but my experience...

I had this pizza since I was a poor student at Melb Uni and I became a regular. It was run buy an old man that looks a bit terrify for Asian people but we talk quite a lot in my last few months at the uni.

The seafood marinara is my fav and I am back 20 years later to try it again. The name was changed from godfather pizza to just father pizza. The old guy was not to run the place anymore which is understandable. The pizza itself was good actually. I cannot find a combination of pawn, anchovy and black olive in thailand. Plus, the pizza crust was nice. I might remember getting more pawns in the past but maybe because I was a regular at that time.
