Amazing venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. The current owners have done a great job bringing Fergusson to exceptional standard. Perfect size for 110 guests in the reception area with plenty of space for everyone. Sara the event and wedding specialist was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process from the first enquiry right through to the actual day. Elie, the venue manager ran the reception service exceptionally well. Staff set up the dining area fast and really well to how we planned it. The barrel room was fantastic for the actual ceremony. The wine barrels made a great back drop for the ceremony! There was a wonderful outside area with a decorative grape vine structure which was great for group photos. The food was a solid 8.5 for the reception dinner. Everyone commented that they have never had such good food at a wedding reception before. Portion sizes were good, fish and steak were cooked just right (which is impressive given that there were 53 portions of each). The snapper skin was crisp. We had the house made pork cotechino and lightly cured king fish which were both amazing. Desert was white chocolate panna cotta and peach parfait and also delicious and left everyone with happy looks of satisfaction on their faces. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The kitchen ran extremely efficiently and on time. Wine is also very good. There were multiple guests requesting to purchase bottles of wine (esp the 2012 Shiraz). Outstanding shiraz for the region. We also had access to a neighbouring small unit to leave things, prep and get ready which was very handy. We were so lucky that we randomly came across Fergusson winery as we had the most perfect wedding there! Looking forward to many more meals there, especially our anniversary!!

2 weeks later we have visited Fergussons for Mother's Day. The set menu was nothing short of spectacular!!! Excellent value, considering the 4 options for entree and dessert were all included and we only had to pick the mains. All mothers got to take home the cute little bouquet of flowers, a little tin of salve, and pick any bottle of wine to take home (no restriction on which bottles!!!). I would rate the food at mothers...

From the moment we first visited Fergusson Winery & Restaurant, we were greeted by Sara, and instantly knew - this was the one. Sara brought so much energy, warmth, and positivity, yet had such a calm and reassuring presence that made us feel instantly at ease. That first impression truly set the tone for everything that followed.

Throughout the entire wedding planning process, we worked closely with Sarah, and she was an absolute dream. No question was ever too big - every little request was met with such grace, professionalism, and promptness. Sarah truly spoiled us and made sure every detail was thought through and perfectly executed. We couldn’t have asked for a more supportive, organised, and kind-hearted person to be by our side.

The venue itself was absolutely stunning! The vines were in full bloom, creating the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and photos. The entire place had this magical, rustic elegance that made everything feel so special. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous the venue was.

And the food - wow! Every dish was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Our guests are still complimenting the meal, and it was easily one of the highlights of the night.

On the wedding day itself, Sarah and the entire Fergusson team went above and beyond. Sarah made sure every little touch was in place, and when it was time for me to walk down the aisle, she was right there, offering her loving support in that unforgettable moment. Later in the night, she brought the fun and energy too - joining us on the dance floor and celebrating alongside us and our families, making the night feel even more personal and special.

Sarah’s warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made everyone feel so welcome. She greeted everyone with a big smile and open arms, and her presence added a truly magical touch to the whole day. We honestly couldn’t imagine anyone else to have filled her shoes. She was absolutely perfect, and thanks to her and the team at Fergusson, our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more.

My husband and I were married at Fergusson on 22 November 2024, and it was the most amazing experience we could have asked for.

Right from the beginning, we were so well looked after. We started scouting wedding venues about 18 months in advance. Armed with shortlist of venues based on some cursory online research, we took a trip up to the Yarra Valley one Saturday to check them out. Fergusson was the first on our list. We turned up without any pre-booking with the intent of just looking around, but after we explained to staff what we were doing, within moments one of the wedding coordinators had come to introduce herself and give us a grand tour. She took the time to explain everything about their wedding packages in detail, the ceremony options, the onsite accommodation, the wines and menus, etc. The good vibes were so strong that it became the benchmark and no other venue we saw that day stacked up to the warmth of that initial experience, making Fergusson an easy choice for our big day.

Every little interaction between our first visit and the last drinks at the end of our reception reinforced that we made the right decision. Our wedding coordinator, Sarah, was phenomenal and made the whole experience so stress-free. She was always on had to answer our (many) questions, and recommended some fantastic vendors to round out our wedding team. The venue itself is a perfect combination of modern and rustic, with exposed ceiling beams, festoon lights, and wine barrels juxtaposed with white tablecloths and floor to ceiling glass windows giving a stunning view over the vineyard at sunset (seriously, our photos are amazing). The food was incredible, as were the atmosphere and the staff – you know you have an amazing team when they are smiling and dancing along with you at the end of the night!

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fergusson to anyone looking for a wedding venue, especially if you’re looking for a more intimate and less ‘commercial’ feel that is present in some of the larger Yarra Valley wineries. Thanks Sarah and the whole Fergusson team for making our wedding so...
