I recently had the opportunity to eat in from worked gourmet Chinese - Croydon South, I liked the food and staff so today me and my family decided to have the dine in there however, I must say that our experience this night was very bad and I and my family are disappointed, left the place with unpleasant experience. The primary reason for my disappointment was the recurring issue with the female staff at the billing counter reminding me about closing time is at 8.30 pm ( the lady staff is the same as in the website picture )
From the moment we walked into the restaurant today at 7.40 pm, the atmosphere felt tense and unwelcoming due to this female staff's repeated announcements about the closing time as 8.30 pm. ( actually, it says that in the menu closing time is at 9 pm) It created an uncomfortable sense of urgency, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dining experience for us and kids. It seemed as though the staff was more concerned with closing up for the night rather than providing a pleasant and relaxed environment for their customers.
While I understand the importance of adhering to closing times, it would have been more professional and considerate for the staff to ensure that their customers were given ample time to enjoy their meal without feeling rushed. It felt as though we were being pushed to make hasty decisions, which affected our ability to fully appreciate the menu and make informed choices.
Additionally, this reminder of the closing time also created an impression that the staff was not interested in providing quality service. It is crucial for any dining establishment to prioritize customer satisfaction, even during the final moments of operation. Unfortunately, this aspect was sorely lacking at this restaurant . I checked about the owner and she replied owner is not coming to this resorants .
I hope the owner of this Restaurant will notice this feedback and employee the right staff in the front desk for the good customer service , it is really important to have a welcoming staff in the front line same like a good cook in the kitchen which will increase the business
I believe that a more tactful approach could have been employed to manage the closing time without compromising the customer experience. Perhaps providing a gentle reminder earlier in the evening and ensuring that customers are given sufficient time to enjoy their meal would have been a better approach.
Overall, I was disappointed with the dining experience at due to the staff's persistent emphasis on the closing time and their subsequent rush to take our orders. I hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and considers implementing changes to provide a more pleasant and customer-oriented dining experience...
Read moreI think this place got their reviews from friends to get the rating higher. The Asian rude lady behind the counter has serious attitude problems with no customer service manners at all. From the moment we walked into the shop, we felt a heavy, unfriendly atmosphere from her. Every time I added an order, her face impression changed to become unfriendly as to why I’m adding another order, at one point I asked about the omlet, she was so negative and said it’s just an omlet with age and some ingredients, I was so furious about her reception that I was about to cancel the entire order. The food was also so awful, Singaporean noodles tasted so unpleasant, the fried rice was also horrible to eat. We regretted choosing the food and I should have said something to her for her unfriendliness and disrespectful posed poor service and behaviour, which was also another of my lessons learned to let such abrupt unpleasant staff of her rude behaviour. I think most people notice her behaviour but decide to ignore her as she does not exist. But to me, it’s not a charity and any business is about customer service, product and how customers are treated. As for the food, I don’t believe it’s worth spending any money there, MacDonald food taste better there. After eating the Singaporean noodles, I’ve got a burning guts, even now at midnight, my gut is upset. The black beef source was also not good. The fried rice was so bad, that I suggested to my wife to put in into the bin. Save your money and if you don’t want to ruin your night with her unfriendly manner and the food, go somewhere that you enjoy. To the owner, I hope she is not the owner, remove such rude person from your business and fix the food. Both destructive to any business. Avoid...
Read moreIntending to support the locals! We dined in there attracted by the wok signs as we drove by. Don’t judge the book by its cover! Though lack of sit in diners, this place was busy attending to take away orders! We had to wait 20 min to place our order, despite being the only diners at 7pm. This joint has only one cook and one waitress. The Chau kuey teow was $12.99 and the beef horfun was $13.99. Generous serve with lots more ingredients than in the more popular ones. Though marketed as Malaysian dish, it is cooked by someone from Hong Kong as part of franchise. Though not fine dining for the picky taste buts, it is still a good place to have your hunger satisfied, and some. I would revisit again to try their...
