I ordered grilled butter fish with chips last night through uber eats. Was actually wanting some chips and looked through and some fish would be great too for accompaniment, so I ordered at Hook & Cook. The delivery took some time to mine. But when I opened it, to my surprise.. there’s one big package.. I thought was it the fries? But I ordered the extra small.. and when I opened it.. YEEESS.. it is the chips!!! Such a happy girl, my craving was fulfilled.. it’s like holding a clutch bag of happiness 🥹 Chips was a lot so thank goodness I didn’t order larger size ☺️ It was already not as hot and fresh due to long delivery I guess.. so I imagine it would be so much better when it’s still warm and fresh 😋 The fish tho.. also quite a shock.. not the kind of grilled that I was expecting - doesn’t look like grilled honestly. It seems like breaded as well? And came soggy too as it was sweating. Taste is alright tho, but not happy with the texture 🥲 Comes with lemon - thanks! :)

Really good food and extremely good value for money. The staff are really friendly and the menu has a great variety of options. There isn’t too much parking if you go when it’s packed which is the only problem.

Really good food and extremely good value for money. The staff are really friendly and the menu has a great variety of options. There isn’t too much parking if you go when it’s packed which is the only problem.

Best fish and chips we've had in a while. Non greasy or oily. Amazing customer service. Food was so good we wanted to keep eating it even while we were full. Will be definitely eating here again.

I might opt for a Fish'n'Chip feed once a month.. But when I do, without contemplation, I'm calling Hook & Cook to order! The chips will not disappoint! These golden, crunchy spud slices are always cooked to perfection, and there are chips aplenty. Very generous serves. I've never heard anyone have a bad word to say about the fish, battered or fried. I've only ever ordered the blue grenadier, and it always delivers the goods. I've had BG from highly rated F'n'chipperies far and wide, coast to coast... Hook & Cook match it with the best of them! Always a friendly greeting from the staff, very well priced menu and conveniently...

Ordered snitzel roll.. No mayo and of course it came with mayo.. Store credit was going to be given as it was delivery.. Told them I couldn't get anything else as I have covid and are in isolation.. When I ordered put note on order to just leave food on porch.. So of course when they finally agree to remake and deliver they knock on my door and ask for incorrect burger that I have handled which now makes it a covid burger and take it back to their shop... WOW really? I told you I have covid and you are greedy enough to risk yours and others there by asking for food back that has been covid handled......
