Italian Sports Club of Werribee — Restaurant in Melbourne

Booked a table for 7pm, we arrived early and went to the games room while we waited. The man at the door was pretty rude and on his phone, we didn’t understand the “check in” machine as we had never been here or used one before. When we later asked the same man at the door where the toilets were his answer was rude again, as if we were idiots for not knowing where the bathrooms were in a place we had never been.

Sinner itself was very chaotic, they were obviously understaffed so I won’t hold that against them, one main attendant who was very polite and helpful, but he was constantly running around, taking orders, running to the front to seat people and take payment, running to the kitchen to deliver meals and take back dishes etc. again, he was very good, polite and helpful when you could get his attention, but he was so busy it was hard to call him over.

We were seated at 7, placed our orders around 7:15-20, got our drinks and garlic bread very quickly…. But we didn’t get our meals until after 8:30. We did see two other staff members delivering orders to tables, but still only he one attendant taking orders, greeting etc. and we tried to get anyone’s attention to at least ask how long our meals would take a few times but they were all so busy.

When we did finally get our food, 2/3 people loved their meal, “very tasty” “delicious” “I’d definitely order that again” but the third was very disappointing. Ordered the veal parmigiana, even for only $25 I expected it to be a bit bigger, and it was quite dry. The mashed potato and veggies didn’t have any flavour, even for steamed vege they were bland.

Overall we would like to go again, I would just not order the Parma again, and hopefully they have...

Went for dinner with a group of 8 on Saturday night. We were going to book for 3 families for Christmas after our meals, as last year's Christmas dinner was excellent. We ordered a parma, stir fry noodles, Chilli prawn pasta, tortellini, and some kids meals. After waiting an hour after ordering, we were sick of waiting so I politely spoke to one of the team and said if we weren't all eating within 10 minutes we would leave. Finally our dinner was served around 8 minutes later. Everyone was literally ravenous by this stage, however on my third cut of my parma, it was very clearly raw inside so I returned it. It actually pains me to write this review as we loved going for dinner here regularly, however in the last few months, we have had slow service twice now, and issues with our meals. They offered to replace it, but I refused, given everyone else would have then been waiting on me to finish. Another annoyance is that meals come out sporadically, rather than all together as a table service. We will be dining elsewhere in future, and we will now find another venue for...

We held an event here in their peacock room using the peacock package - was overall quite pleased with what we received. The room is a bit small but did comfortably fit our 40+ seated guests. It was the best value compared to other similar venues in the local area.

The highlight was the food - absolutely amazing and big thanks to the chef and their team for such wonderful food that everyone gave great feedback. Was also very happy with the event management to the lead up to the event and the fact we got early access to the room to decorate and to drop off the cake. The service we received was alright.

The let down was a lack of microphone to use in the room and no point of contact on the night that was briefed on what we had paid for and arrange - which led to a bit of miscommunication between bar staff, wait staff and our guests.

Would definitely consider this as an option for future...
