Subject: Formal Complaint – Poor Service and Unhygienic Conditions at KFC Sayers Road, Tarneit (31/08/2025 at 11:30 PM) To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an unacceptable experience I had at KFC on Sayers Road, Tarneit, on 31st August 2025 at approximately 11:30 PM, while collecting a delivery order. Upon arriving at the drive-through, I was abruptly told by a staff member to come inside the store instead. Once inside, I was left waiting while staff stood around laughing and talking instead of preparing orders. Another delivery driver mentioned he had already been waiting for over 15 minutes. The store environment was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Loud rap music containing offensive language—including repeated use of the F-word—was playing inside. When I questioned this, a staff member who appeared to be a manager responded with a rude and dismissive attitude, saying they were allowed to play such music. Additionally, the store was in a filthy state. Chips and pieces of chicken were scattered across the floor, and overall hygiene was shockingly poor. When my order was finally handed to me, it was done so with an angry and hostile attitude. The staff made me feel unsafe and disrespected during the entire visit. This experience was entirely unacceptable, both in terms of customer service and cleanliness. I urge KFC to take immediate steps to investigate this incident, address staff behavior, and enforce proper hygiene and professionalism at this location.
I wanted to take photos to document the condition of the store, but I felt unsafe and intimidated by the staff, so I chose not...
Read moreI came through Drive Thru on 14/09 around 12:00pm, a little busy and was parked on chips for "2 minutes" it ended up being around 10, however it was busy. The young girl who took my order, I believe she said her name was Ciara or Ciana let us have such a good experience. I typically avoid this KFC due to my prior experiences. I was with my husband, and she was really patient whilst ordering as he's very indecisive on what to order, she repeated the order back to us, and got everything right despite all of our altercations, and had such a sweet tone. Upon paying we were making small talk as we waited for the cars in front of us to drive on. She greeted us and asked how our day was, what we had been up to, complimented my nails and then told us about the wait, and if we could please park at the front. She was very smiley, kind to us and had very positive behavior, and she handed our drinks and 2 regular coleslaw, which typically they forget. I let her know I was weary about ordering here due to the last few times because of accuracy complaints. We parked to the front of the store (they have no waiting bay) and she brought out our food after 7 minutes and was very apologetic about the extra wait, and reassured she double checked to make sure we had everything, gave us extra sauces for the inconvenience, and included napkins in the bag! We arrived home and nothing was forgotten and everything tasted fresh. It's the small amount of kindness in an interaction that can make such a positive experience, and definitely a huge improvement to this location, I hope to see more workers like this...

I’m very disappointed with the night shift service at KFC Tarneit. This isn’t about being busy—it’s actually worse because these long delays are happening even when there are very few customers around. At around 10:30 PM, I witnessed customers waiting 30 minutes to over an hour for their orders, and even delivery drivers were stuck waiting over 30 minutes just to pick up food. There was no crowd, no rush—just poor staff coordination and a complete lack of urgency.
This isn’t a one-off situation either. It’s been happening for months, and every time someone complains, KFC replies with an apology and a feedback link. But nothing changes. These responses feel more like an attempt to manage customer complaints rather than fix the real problem.
The night shift appears to be handled by staff with no sense of responsibility or proper supervision. It looks like a group of kids running the place without any mature leadership. Because of that, there’s no respect for people’s time.
Being rude isn’t right—but when service is consistently this bad, it naturally leads to customer frustration. If being rude is wrong, then making customers wait this long without reason is also wrong.
Even good food loses its appeal when it’s served with this kind of service. I really hope KFC management takes this seriously and implements actual changes—because replying to reviews alone isn’t...
