Seriously, No Donuts at a Donut Shop? Completely Unacceptable.
Dear Krispy Kreme,
I’m writing this email in a state of disbelief, frustration, and frankly, sheer annoyance. I never imagined I’d have to write a complaint like this because I never imagined I’d walk into a KRISPY KREME location and find out you’re out of DONUTS. Let me say that again: A donut shop with no donuts. What exactly are you doing if you're not making donuts?
I made a special trip to your store today and I don’t live close. This wasn’t some casual drop-in. I went out of my way because I was craving that iconic melt in your mouth Original Glazed. You know the product that’s supposed to define your entire brand. I walked through your doors excited, hungry, and ready to leave with a dozen of happiness only to be greeted by an empty display case and an employee casually telling me, “Sorry, we’re out of donuts.”
Excuse me?! That’s like going to a pizzeria and being told they ran out of pizza. Or walking into Starbucks and being informed they’re out of coffee. How does this happen? It was the middle of the day not early morning, not closing time so there is zero excuse for not having product available. Are you not prepared for demand? Do you not make enough? Why is this even remotely acceptable at a store whose sole purpose is to serve donuts?
Not only was the situation ridiculous, but the lack of apology or even basic concern from your staff made it worse. I was met with a shrug and a weak "yeah, it happens." Oh, it happens? Well, let me tell you something: It shouldn’t happen. If your stores are repeatedly running out of donuts, then someone in operations, inventory, or management needs to wake up and fix this issue immediately.
I left empty-handed, disappointed, and furious. I wasted my time, my gas, and my energy, all for what? An empty donut counter and an eye-roll from an underwhelmed employee? This is not just a minor inconvenience it’s a fundamental failure of your business model.
I expect at the very least an explanation, and quite frankly, some sort of compensation for the time and frustration you cost me. If Krispy Kreme wants to maintain even a shred of credibility, then I suggest you revisit how you manage supply, customer service, and basic expectations.
Please do better. A donut shop without donuts is just an embarrassing shell of a brand that should know better.
Furiously...
Read moreKrispy Kreme I'm very disappointed at your double standards when it comes to your rules and laws for in door dining! I'm a regular customer with my wife at the Bulleen store. Today I went with a friend to buy coffee and a doughnut and saw two male's standing in the store with TWO POODLE DOG'S inside the store talking to the 3 females who were staff and supposed to be working but were standing around talking to the two guy's with there two POODLE dog's inside the store.
I was waiting in line to be served and no one served me for almost 10min. I finally had enough of waiting and said "excuse me is anyone going to serve me?". Then all 3 girl's turned around and finally one of them came to take my order.
On my way out I asked the girl who gave me my coffee "are dog's allowed in the store?" She replied "ummm no", then I asked her "then why did those 2 guy's have there dog's in the store?". She replied "oh there assistant manager's and there dog's I think might be guide dog's".
Krispy kreme I have come with my dog in the passed and have tied her outside and have come in to order so why do the rules apply to me but not to your staff members? Why do those guy's think that they can bring there family pet dog's in the store which aren't even guide dog's but yet I can't?
The girl lied to me about the dog's being guide dog's which they clearly aren't because I wasn't born yesterday so I know the difference between guide dogs and family pet's. So I don't appreciate being lied to from your staff trying to cover for the boy's who were in the wrong by having there pet POODLE'S in the store there were 2 boy's who looked like twin brother's and both had a dog each in the store and both dog's were POODLE'S.
This happened on Sunday 10th July 2022 at around mid day so please bring up your cameras and look and see that what I'm telling you in 100% correct. Your staff need to learn that rule's and laws apply to everyone and NOT JUST TO CUSTOMERS. Your staff are very rude, disrespectful and unhygienic for allowing and having animals in the store just because they work there. This is unacceptable and a very bad example of how to run a...
Read moreIt was a late Thursday evening and I’d had a terrible day. When my dad asked me if I wanted to collect the 2 dozens we’d bought online, I reluctantly agreed.
Upon arriving, I showed the John Doughnut at the front proof of our order. We’d ordered two original glazed dozens. He told us that sadly the glazed donuts had ran out, and our order was incomplete as we only had one out of the two dozens needed.
My dad immigrated from a faraway country to Australia, and sometimes he can’t understand people with Australian accents. My father, confused, explained to the worker we had bought two dozens and not one. The kind John Doughnut took his time to carefully explain they had run out of glazed doughnuts. He offered a free compensation of an assorted dozen, which is more expensive than a glazed dozen. I couldn’t express my gratitude fast enough before he smacked on three 6-pack doughnut bites for free, and everyone knows those are too expensive.
The John Doughnut was kind, compassionate and patient. We need more people like him. If you’re reading this, please strive to be more like John Doughnut.
Thank you to Krispy Kreme and the...
