Little Boundary Bakery and Cafe Takeaway — Restaurant in Melbourne

Was so excited to try this new bakery specialising in NZ pies. As a Kiwi and one who had access to a various pies through family business, I take pies very seriously. They looked delicious. Presentation is 5 stars. Service was amazing - super friendly owners and staff. When it came to the taste test, I found the base of the pies were slightly too dry, not a bad thing for a healthier alternative. The steak didn’t have much beef flavour. Not sure if it’s to do with NZ beef vs AU beef, but it was a sad that it’s not the same. I also think the cheese used (I got the steak and cheese and a mini potato top) was not the right cheese and too salty. Perhaps a more creamy choice would tick the box. Went in on a saturday afternoon 1.30pm - 2 pm And purchased two different flavored pies. After paying And in the proces Of leaving realised both pies where not hot underneath lucky to be warm. The girl there suggested she will heat them up in the microwave.I said no thanks.I will just take the refund. The funny thing about all this was she was refusing to give my a refund. Oh my gosh the pies are so yummy specially the steak & cheese, bacon & egg, potato top pies are 😋😋😋. Last week Friday was my first time there and this week since Monday I have been there 3 times just to have my favourite pies.
