Lucky Eight Fish and Chips — Restaurant in Melbourne

I have been going to another fish and chip shop for the last 12 years but have been forced to look for another, I stopped past yesterday and the service in which I was greeted with was outstanding.

Ordered flake and chips being well done with extra chicken salt and received the food within a timely manner, once I got home and opened the packet I was surprised to find the chips and flake to be well done with extra chicken salt as reading other reviews people stated that when they asked they never received it as so.

As soon as I lifted the first chip to my mouth I felt as if I was being disloyal along with a guilt, but this feeling soon went astray as I took my first bite and the feeling of guilt and disloyalty changed to excitement and addiction.

Chips were cooked perfectly and not an overwhelming amount of salt, flake was a generous size and was accompanied with a nice crunch with every bite.

I think I have found a new forever fish and chip shop and will have to unfortunately let my old shop go.

I suggest you do not drive past this shop but stop and grab something as I promise, you won’t be...

Great, we have gone here multiple times and each time was fantastic!! Price is great, food is well done!! My only complaint is the chips but that's every fish and chip shop. I never order the chips anymore but hubby wanted to see if they might have changed haha. No chips from now on lol. This is our new fave fish, schnitzel burger and steak...

Only rating 1 star because 0 is unavailable. Had to wait 2 hours for our food while watching people who ordered after us leave with their food before us. When questioned we were told we are busy be patient. Finally get our food get home to feed the family and its burnt! $40 for fish and chips just to spend $50 at maccas to have a meal...
