Lyrebird Fish n Chips and Convenience Store — Restaurant in Melbourne

This place is under a new managment/ownership, the new owner is rude and arrigant, I sent my son to get some drinks, and he was refused an extra bag when he asked for one incase the bag broke. Which it did again, for the 3rd time now, honestly if a teenager comes into your store to buy heavy bottles of softdrink and asks for an extra bag dont you think its fair to give him one. Especially since the prices are all now up from befor also. Additionally we used to be able to, for a small fee check bank balance, withdraw money ect. I put hundreds of dollars a week over the counter of this store. I tried to talk to the owner but he was rude and talking over me, so I decided to leave. Then while trying to walk out, his wife got involved blocking my way, Im not sure the background, but it looks like drug background to me that has bought this store. I felt quiet intimidated and had to almost push past her to get out of the shop, I heard some abusive yelling directed at me as I left the store, and glanced at the owners angry and bitter face. I was there only to make a legitamate complaint and try to sort some kind of resolve. I "used to" send my son to this shop each day to buy softdrinks, they had a resonable deal on cheaper drinks in lots of 3. I was happy to still go there even after the price hikes untill the new owners true colors started to show. People like this not only shouldnt have a business, I suspect they also probably actually belong behind bars but have some how managed to get lucky, most likely thru violence and intimidation. I had a weird feeling when i ordered and picked up i wasn’t going to be happy with my order, and no surprise I was disappointed.

The Fish, hot dog, crab stick wasn’t Fresh, the batter was thin and rubber, no crisp, definitely not made on the day! It must have been made before the actual finish time as it was cold by time we got into it.

Tried to support local as its the closest to where i live but i won’t be returning (perhaps just for an ice cream)

Best thing, it was down the road! Other than that i will drive 5 extra minutes to my other Fish...
