Seafood D’lite — Restaurant in Melbourne

ordered 10 minutes prior on the phone and was told it would be 15 minutes, my partner and I waited around 25 minutes to receive our food once we got there. My partner went to pay and we were doing a split payment $50 cash and $12 card. They took my $50 cash and then continued to charge me a total $62 on card and my partner didn’t realise straight away. As we continued waiting for our food my partner then realised and went back in ask them about the payments, they apologise and I believe who was the owner came out and was saying I’ll give you cash back right now, I wanted it to be returned back onto my card but he was insisting to give me cash back, they then proceeded to tell me they will bank transfer me my $50 back and I had no problems with that. I picked up my order and still no effort to try and bank transfer me straight away, the lady informed me she would message me right after she’s done it. I left and 24hours later still nothing in my account, I rang up and spoke to the owner again and he said she didn’t press send to complete the bank transfer apparently.

Where do i begin!

This was our go to fish and chip shop. Great staff, and even better food. Never had an issue with an order, and Selina and the family would always throw in extras and look after the customers.

Unfortunately they have sold and there are new owners who do not follow any of the old owners traits.

Order was wrong. Food is extremely oily. Food was forgotten. Was told it would be 15 mins. Ended up being near on 40 mins plus the second trip i had to go back to get the forgotten food which was then under cooked and inedible.

What was once an extremely great fish and chip shop will no longer be.

Have to give credit to the young girl working behind the counter, she was trying her best to deal with the horrible situation she was in as there were 4-5 incorrect orders whilst i was waiting...

10 outta 10 every single time we go here! We have not been disappointed in the many years of coming here!

Burgers, kebabs, seafood, it is all great! Everything is full of flavour and keeps you wanting more!!!

Great value for money, family friendly and delicious! Please do yourself a favour and try this place, you will not be disappointed!!! This was under the old owners.
