Skullers — Restaurant in Melbourne

Went to Skullers for the first time after recently moving into the area. We were welcomed by Con the owner. What a lovely man - he clearly has a passion for his business, was super accommodating and nothing was a problem. He called many by their name as they walked in the door - clearly lots of regulars.

Then the food came out... Quickly too (about 10mins) and the restaurant was quite full. It was freakin delicious. My wife had a single Unknown burger and loved it. I had a double Burbs Classic and it was beautiful... Messy as hell but what I'd expect from a juicy burger. Patties were still slightly pink on the inside (the way they should be) and the sauce was divine. The buns were big and everything tasted fresh.

We also shared a regular Cheeky Chicken Fries (which was massive) and couldn't finish it. 100% recommend Skullers Burgers. I'd go back very regularly if it wasn't for the fact I'm 100+kg already sigh.

I originally had my heart set on a local favourite, but the universe clearly had other plans (probably hungry ones), and it dropped me right here. Best. Detour. Ever.

This place serves one of the best smashed burgers in Melbourne, no exaggeration. It’s top tier, simple, juicy, and straight-to-the-point delicious. No gimmicks, no fluff, just a burger that knows exactly who it is.

The owner and staff? Absolute legends. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see you, even if you’re the type to overthink lettuce.

Speaking of which, if I could change one tiny thing, it’d be swapping the shredded lettuce for a proper leaf. I like my lettuce like my deadlift; strong, consistent, and not falling...

Sunday night dinner. Situated in the Lalor Shopping Centre where you'll find plenty of parking. Noise level inside the store is quite high. Service, was interested, bit disorganised. Apparently whilst a few people waited around only one person could take the orders. She eventually appeared, briefly and disappeared out the back without warning half way through my order, forcing one of the guys to jump in. Anyway, Buffalo Chicken Burger and a serve of the cheese fries were delivered shortly after order. The burger itself was good, a good mix of Buffalo flavour, warm and spicy how it should be.

The chips came out separately and were ok.
