The fish bite sydenham — Restaurant in Melbourne

First of all my rating is 0.00 not a 1! Got a grilled flake fish tonite for dinner & it was like a dry old gumboot! Rang the shop straight away cos they'll remember my order & I spoke to the female owner & explained the situation. She didn't want to apologise, she just said well come back & get your $6! Ah already at home Lady! I had to ask for an apology. She didn't want to give one & didn't want to take responsibility for it either saying that all the fish is fresh & she knows how to cook it but this one definitely isn't! Will not be going back there & suggest that anyone that has a complaint or suggestion not to if this is the kind of service u get! But post a review like I've done! She was quite happy giving me a dry old grilled fish to consume & couldn't wait to hang up the phone. Not good at all! Your customer...

Food pretty good. Lovely barramundi Real potatoe cakes. Nice juicy scallops... Batter good.. Flake very good size.. Hot dogs in batter could've been the fatter ones instead if the skiny ones.. Crab stick good..

Cleanliness think 🤔 it could be better. Bit of a clean wouldn't go astray... Oil might need a change Or Drain the food a little bit longer... But still very nice...

Price Very good. Definitely worth going back...

After placing my order apparently its cash only for orders under $15, no signs. We dont all carry cash these days. My order was only $11.00 granted but i didn't have cash and they wouldn't budge, they prefer no sale than than let me use my CC. I guess with cash you can hide from tax, i pay my taxes, and the fees to use the CC would not consume the profit for one lousy order. Its their businrss yes, i will never go there again and won't recommend to anyone else, just as they chose to refuse my order, i choose the feedback that fits...
