The New Atrium Restaurant and Function Centre — Restaurant in Melbourne

Its a nice place for now but has potential to be a Great place if.... improve on air con or turn it up. With the glass roof it gets sunny and quite warm sitting under there. Chairs to be more comfy and matching throught restaurant area. Paint job / change the colors. Function room looks more like a board room. Staff need to improve on customer service. Dont look like they wanna be there. However message to the owner (male owner) great customer service- keep it up and tell ur staff to follow ur warm, welcoming traits otherwise they can destroy the possible gem you have on ur hands. Advertise more, didnt even know it existed until was invited to kids party there. Saw then what the place has to offer, impressive. Ladies powder rooms realy lovely which is a bonus. This venue is a disgrace! The owner is a rude senile human if I have ever met one! The venue was hired out little to our knowledge the staff were aloud to join and take control of our music.... we paid money to hire the venue did I mention?

The male owner has no reguard for the patrons that are paying for the venue but is more concerned about whether his staff who are drunk are having a good time! The food was unable to be eaten not sure if it was still frozen or passed its used by, drinks were over priced watered down below average basic cheap spirts. I honestly cannot understand how someone can pay and hire a venue but still be told off for wanting to play their own music.

Maybe the owner should consider renting the venue out for staff and shoeless employees more...

Not open on 3 of the times we arrived with children in tow (as per advertised opening hours). Children very disappointed and hugely inconvenient to not have reliable opening hours to pack up kids only not to be open. It’s a basic place. It is hugely lacking in management, this place could be bustling and amazing given its location and indoor provisions. The staff are friendly and the options for kids all ages are great, yet the baby toys area although a huge win for parents and babes, are not cleaned or batteries not working in them, the video games not turned on and there’s no atmosphere. Plus side, the one time it was open as per hours advertised all meals were great. I would call ahead...
