The cafe had a warm, rustic vibe with brick walls and mismatched wooden tables that gave it a laid-back, homey feel. The soft music in the background made it the perfect spot for an afternoon hangout. The service was prompt and friendly. Our server was happy to offer suggestions and even recommended their signature Veg burger, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The Veg-burger was perfectly cooked, with a juicy, tender haloumi that was packed with flavor. The toasted soft bun held everything together without getting soggy. We dropped in to the Cafe on a mid Saturday morning for an early lunch. Five of us sat and checked out the menu. The wide range of food on offer was surprising. I did wonder how so many different foods can be catered for in one establishment. I need not worry. We ordered Fish and chips, 2 Hamburgers and chips, Chicken satay with salad and Thai curry. All the food was sensational and most unexpected in its presentation and quality. We had coffee milkshakes to top off the meal. At this point it was about 12.15 pm and the shop was full of people. Probably 20 persons seated while some others were ordering at the counter. I talked with the Chef and passed on my congratulations for serving us a brilliant, unexpected and delightful meal. He did say that his mission was to serve food of high quality that cannot be sourced from other venues in the near vicinity. Well, we came across this gem in our travels of Yorke Peninsula. Wow, the first indication it was good was the chatter you could hear as we approached the door. We were welcomed and given a seat quickly. We ordered coffee, carrot cake, and lemon cheese cake, which was delivered promptly. The coffee was the best I've had anywhere, and as for the fresh gorgeous tasting cake with soft, fresh philly icing and the beautifully fresh cheese cake , I have no other words than amazingly fresh and delicious.
