To the General Manager of the Moama RSL,
My now wife (Shelley Koernig nee Findlay) and I celebrated our wedding reception with 40+ guests at the Moama RSL on Saturday evening, 14 September, 2024. We and our guests had a fantastic time at your club from 6 - 11.30 pm!
Shelley and I want to express our utmost admiration and gratitude to Nicole (your events coordinator). From the time of our first conversation and email correspondence with Nicole (during December 2023) we immediately knew that we were in very capable hands when we read Nicole's extremely detailed and concise email answering our initial email to her.
Nicole has maintained this thoroughness in every interaction we have had with her thereafter. Nicole provided guidance to us in terms of seating plans, courtesy bus transport for our guests from the wedding ceremony on Echuca Wharf to your club, menu selection, drinks options etc etc. Nicole has exceeded our expectations in every respect and was always very timely in responding to our many questions. More importantly, Nicole delivered on every promise!
Nicole has a very engaging and empathetic personality. We found this to be such an essential quality due to the stressful nature (for us) of translating our wedding dream into reality. We are certain that you already know this, Nicole is such an asset to your team at the Moama RSL.
In closing, I also want to mention the two young bartenders (one male, one female) who served us and our guests during our wedding reception. They, like Nicole who managed our reception during the evening, were professional, engaging and always accomodating. Our guests also commented on this on the following day.
Thank you so much for making our special day so very special. We love your club and your staff.
Kind regards,
Sven and...
Read moreMy family and I go here almost once a week. The food is generally well cooked and prepared and it has a relaxed atmosphere. There is a kids area with video games and an outdoor playground that is completely enclosed.
The prices are around standard, and if you don't want a full meal from the restaurant on site you can go to the cafe instead. A lot of seats, though during holidays and events they fill up quickly so I would recommend booking a table beforehand.
There is an 18 and Over sports lounge and pokies area. Children and teens under 18 are not allowed up to the bars, even to get soft drink or water, or even with an adult in line with laws for NSW.
There is a large amount of parking, with almost every row having six disabled parking zones on each side. There is a pedestrian crossing from the entrance to the last row of parking.
The main negative of the Moama RSL upon recent visit was the lack of options on the menu at the restaurant for adults and kids alike, and the sausages used not only taste bad, but also have an almost...
Read moreVery disappointing on Sunday night, roast beef and chicken Maryland on the carvery. The boring vegetables again laid out, no peas or beans. The chicken was steamed and far from a proper Maryland where the chicken is browned and made in a lovely cream sauce. The bread was also undercooked. The young girl that served had no idea how to serve a meal and literally slapped it on the plate. I know it is a busy place but we are paying customers who believe there should be some quality to the food and not line up and receive your meal like your on a bivouac! I think the hospitality department should look at how much they can serve to an acceptable standard rather than just look at how many covers you can sell. Before you say “ here we go another winger with no idea what goes on behind the scenes”, I am an ex military member with experience running kitchens for 3000 troops. Take a bit of pride and educate your serving staff how to correctly plate food up. It’s not much to ask as maybe look at...
