Food & Drinks
Our party of three enjoyed a fantastic lunch, and every dish exceeded expectations.
Berry Blast Smoothie – A refreshing and vibrant blend of berries, perfectly balanced in sweetness and thickness.
Satay Chicken Skewers (Entrée) – Succulent, tender chicken with a rich, flavorful peanut sauce that left us wanting more.
Halloumi Salad with Chicken (Main) – A beautifully presented dish with crispy halloumi, fresh greens, and juicy chicken, making every bite a delight.
Lamb Rump (Special) – Cooked to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a rich, savory sauce. Absolutely divine.
Grilled Chicken Boscaiola (Special) – A creamy, indulgent dish packed with flavor, featuring perfectly grilled chicken and a rich mushroom sauce.
Every dish was well-portioned, satisfying, and plated so elegantly that it felt like fine dining. By the end of our meals, we were all comfortably full and thoroughly impressed.

Read moreMy first visit to Murrays today, however, I was an irregular patron over a number of years when it was the Lakehouse Cafe. The location on Lake Macquarie and the surrounding parkland is beautiful. Murrays was busy today, with two large groups seated upon our arrival. There were two of us for breakfast/brunch. After 15-20 minutes, when the staff, most of whom were quite young, did not approach our table to take our order, we assumed there was no table service and approached the counter to place and pay for our orders. We were informed by the young waiter that he would be happy to take our order at the table. I ordered poached eggs and requested that they be cooked to medium (specifically explaining I did not want a soft and runny egg) with a side of their house made chutney. My friend ordered the zucchini fritters and asked that her egg be cooked to hard. Our meals arrived at the same time and we immediately checked the eggs. Surprisingly, my eggs were cooked to medium, as ordered. My friend's egg however was soft poached and for her, inedible. She returned her plate to the counter, explained the error and requested a hard poach egg. By the time her meal was returned to our table, I had finished my meal. I would estimate that 15 minutes passed before my friend's meal was returned to her. The replacement egg was freshly cooked and hard poached HOWEVER the zucchini fritter stack was cold on the plate. We can only assume the fritters went cold sitting on the plate in the kitchen while the new egg was cooked. We both ordered coffee; skim latte and long black with milk on the side. The coffee was the highlight. We communicated our disappointment upon settling the bill. All-in-all an...
Read moreWas very disappointed with the food and the way we were treated. We booked for lunch and when we arrived only 2 tables was taken so we requested to sit outside & was told that all outside tables were reserved. Since we have booked a day earlier we should be given priority to get a better table there's no customer at the restaurant at that moment but we were put right at the back next to the toilet while there's so many empty tables in front. The biggest disappointment was that we were asked to show our vaccination certificate while other customers arrived later than us were not ask to do so. While waiting for our food we observed everyone coming in, and none was ask to do so. We feel it's discriminatory because of the colour of our skin. We were very upset the way we were treated, we had been to many restaurants & cafe and was never ask for vaccination certificate for past 3 months. Btw, the food was a big let down too it's plain & tasteless. We would never step in your...
