Many times in past I have driven to Nerriga and say; "Hello and Goodbye ", before I released that I drove passed the town. The Nerriga Road/Braidwood Road is going to South Nowra, or turn right to Turpentine Road to the Princes Hwy. Nerriga Road there is Road works (2021) from Braidwood to Nerriga, big trucks on the road, drive the speed limit where is shown, drive safely. The Discovery Of alluvial gold in 1851,led to increased interest in the area around Nerriga, the town began to grow, with the Commercial hotel opening for business around 1864, building still stands today, known as the Bark Tree Hotel, now is the Nerriga Hotel and Pub. In December 2019, the Currowan fire destroyed properties around Nerriga. The Nerriga Pub provided shelter during the fire. We were greeted polite owners, happily to serve us. He shows our table and we sat down, there is a Beer Garden to sit outside too . The Pub atmosphere is wonderful, as the Staff happily serving our food. Are you driving now to Nerriga to Nowra, stop and have a break at the Nerriga Pub and help them. They provided shelter for the community and the Farmers and Towns People and also Travels who were stuck that day. The Coffee shop is open on Wednesday to Sunday from 9am to 11.30am. LUNCH at 12-3pm. Dinner from Friday and Saturday 6-8pm. They sell home made Jam and Relish. Please get some, when you are at the Pub, help to raise money for the community.

We arrived after a long ride to a very warm welcome. Set up camp at the back and came in for dinner. First night I had the crumbed sausages which were really good. Second night I had the up north parmy and it was exceptional! I'd rate it as the best parmy I have ever had. We also shared a cob garlic loaf which was also exceptional. The food was only matched by the hospitality of the staff and owners.

Proper country pub. We stopped in for dinner as we were driving through, and are SO glad we did. Really friendly people, lovely atmosphere, and the food is amazing. Similar prices to places in the city but MUCH bigger meals, and great quality. The schnitzels were hand breaded chicken breast with a perfect crumb, and the chips were ideal. We are hoping to go back on our drive home.

Arrived Good Friday and stayed till Tuesday it was so nice to find a place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the Easter long weekend. The area is so beautiful, quiet and the sunsets were just spectacular. The pub has amazing food and it is open from 11:30 am Wed to Sun, Lunch is served from 12pm - 3pm & dinner is served Friday & Saturday nights from 6pm - 8pm. We had lunch on Good Friday after we set up and it was delicious the staff were just amazing even though they were extremely busy our food came out hot and fast. There's a coffee shop (open Wednesday to Sunday from 9am - 11:30am) where you can grab your morning coffee from they also have a selection of home made cakes but get in early cause they go quick. Thank you for such a lovely spot to stay....

Well, a drive but worthwhile. A country pub. Toilet has a sign that it isn't a public toilet so you need to buy something at the bar or contribute to the public toilet fund. Funny but serious! I don't think that the money goes into a fund other than the one for the poor and neglected publicans.

The bar tender was very cordial and welcoming. The meal was something else. I ordered chicken parma with garlic bread. Came with chips and salad. I rate it among the best I've had. Service very good. My friends had fishcakes and one had crumbed lamb chop. They were all as happy as I was.

Atmosphere was ok. Maybe another 8 or so diners, not well lit but quite enjoyable for our little group.

Don't know if we'll go back but if we do we'll be looking forward to the...
