Bistro Eden — Restaurant in New South Wales

Went here for breakfast yesterday with my Husband and Son. Have to say it was the most disappointing and expensive eggs on toast I have ever eaten. 2 poached eggs on toast, the eggs were rock hard, the toast was soggy and drizzled with olive oil. Had to ask for butter. The price for this was an outrageous $17.50, which I thought was grossly overpriced upon ordering, but thought it must be really good, and we don’t go out together often (the 3 of us). The service was ordinary, the young girl bringing food to our table was sullen. Bought us 2 sets of cutlery….there were 3 of us, so had to ask for an extra set which seemed like an imposition. The garden setting is nice, but over- run. Inside decor is tired and grubby in appearance. We would’ve mentioned our disappointment at the time, but at no time were we asked “how was your meal”, and the staff weren’t exactly encouraging of feedback or conversation. Bistro Eden is a beautiful setting for breakfast, brunch or lunch. It is dog friendly. The sourdough bread is made on site and absolutely delicious ... and you can buy loaves Mon-Fri. The negatives ... the property lacks a bit of maintenance and there are some steps there which are not very safe. the signage is not very clear. We, unknowingly, parked on the same level as residents' parking. We didn't know people lived there, until we were leaving ... with our dog ... and were accosted by a resident. This person very aggressively told us that cats live there, and that dogs and cars should not be where we were. For this reason we will not go back to...

Very relaxing 😌 and the food was so good 😊 this is the 2nd time I have been here. As I order my lunch the fish of the day had just arrived from the fish markets, you don’t get much fresher than that. Nice size portions, full flavour with every mouthful. When I looked at the desert first thought 💭 was it looks small. That was not so 😊it was perfect size and chocolate yummy 😋 well presented. The staff were very helpful and questions I had about the food were answered very quickly. Good food, lovely 🥰 services friendly 😌...
