What a fantastic experience. 4 stars from me. Lose a star because no table service at all and deserts are average. Cleanliness Very clean. It was a busy night and they kept it clean throughout. Temperature Perfect temperature. I get cold quickly and usually sit with jumper and jacket. But not here. I sat, very comfy, on my t-shirt. Loved it. And the food doesn’t go cold in 3 minutes as it’s a correct temp inside. Loudness Not loud at all. It’s a large venue with carpet and well sound proofed setup. I could talk and hear without yelling. Service None. You order at the bar and get a buzzer. You are the waiter and doing all the leg work. Tables aren’t cleared very quickly which is a shame. Staff Friendly and pleasant. Attentive and helpful. We needed a box for our left over pizza and they were very accomodating and brought one for us. Well done. Food Top class and priced well. It’s still pricey but food is expensive nowadays so it’s to be expected. My steak was $38 with not many fries and very little salad but it didn’t matter because the meat was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Recky has the fish & chips: excellent 👌 top marks. Deserts are average, I don’t recommend. Pizza The pizza is excellent. Very VERY good and tasty. The dough is fresh and fluffy. Bar Friendly staff and knowledgeable on drinks. Good selection of drinks. Return? Yes, would definitely come back and I would recommend it.

The Catalina club is perched in the heart of Batemans bay offering a beautiful golf course and impressive club house with plenty of entertainment for everyone, the club offering a huge range of tap beers, packages beverages, wines, sports and cocktails, along with a extensive food menu from the bistro aswell as TAB, keno facilities , and a large gaming room, the staff where friendly and welcoming, Fairly priced Spacious both indoors and outdoors. As this was my first time visiting the club I opted to use the courtesy bus service which was a let down due to the organisation, ringing the club direct to book in for a pick up at 8:30 and not getting pick up until after 9pm, I pre-rescheduled the trip home for 10:30pm being let down again by the driver not being there at 10:30pm and waiting until 11pm. Once both buses arrived again at 11pm I was told the buses were not travelling in my direct, by this time I requested a taxi, this was my only feedback for the venue. Other than that I would recommend a visit to the Catalina club Batemans bay.

Decided on the Catalina Club because we were staying nearby. We'd never been before but its obvious that the place has had some refurbishment/redecorating recently and it looks fantastic. Very chic and welcoming - loved the decor and the comfy chairs. Very well done on the design and aesthetic! Service was friendly from staff and even local club members engaged in conversation at the bar and made us feel welcome. We had table service for our meals and they came out cooked and presented well and the seafood platter was delicious! The only thing I would say is that they need to have more courtesy buses operational or have them doing more routes - we were there on a Sunday night and couldn't get the bus to the club, then when we were leaving the bus was out the front but we couldn't get a lift just down the road - had to wait another 40 minutes. Didn't really bother us as we could just walk it but it could/would affect others patronage.

We were suggested the Catalina Club by our hosts at Batemans Bay Holiday Park and boy did they get it right!! Upon arrival I said to my husband I felt like I was walking into a wedding reception. The decor is very appealing. There are plenty of bar options and loads of tap beers and the like. The gaming area is well spread out, not at all cramped. The dining area was buzzing but we were seated in fair time for the fact we hadn’t booked and it was BUSY. The table service to order meals and drinks is fast, polite and something more venues should be doing. It just works!! Meals were absolutely delicious. Should have picked the scotch fillet over the rump, but that’s my bad. It was still a lovely feed. My husband had the buratta and mushroom linguine which was next level amazing!! The staff at this venue were an absolute highlight. Both front of house ladies in the restaurant were friendly, efficient and engaging. The table staff, mostly young ladies were bubbly, hard working and again very engaging, which is so rare this day and age. As we left the restaurant I felt the need to thank the chef’s and kitchen staff only to observe all hands on deck doing a deep clean of the kitchen. Buckets of hot water, scrubbing brushes and bubbles everywhere! Another thing you never see. Got a ride home by the bubbly Joe on the courtesy bus which was great. The only suggestion for the club would be a bigger bus and more frequent runs. It seems to be a theme among the reviews that I agree with. Cheers Catalina Club team - you’ve definitely got a great thing...

The worst service I've ever received, a rude, aggressive waitress and and over cooked steak. That is the title of this book , what a bloody mess , firstly I'd like to say the meal we had one tonight Monday 3rd February 2025 at 5pm , the young gentleman serving was lovely and I cannot fault him , the club is also lovely, clean , Morden and then the horrible waitress from hell , I orderd a new York strip , rare !!! Apparently, this is impossible for the chefs as it's pre seared , the rest of the meal was cooked lovely and presented very nice , so I politely said my steak is over cooked , it was like the heel of a drovers boot , but I was polite and the young gentleman took it away , apologised and said we will sort that out for you. 5 mins later a waitress came and told me it was pink but they will make me another, then 2 mins later she came back shouting that's just how they cook it and it was definitely rare. I just politely said it was far to over cooked for my liking, paying for a meal generally meals u can have it cooked to your liking not here , she then told me they would do me a fresh meal again only to return with my original steak that had been as she said "seared againe" so now completely overcooked she told me they are not gonna waste a steak so just eat it , slammed the plate down and walked off. Unfortunately you pay for the meal at this club first even with table service so the chance of a refund was zero , we left and won't be returning anytime soon this was horrible experience thanks the an unprofessional...

This review is strictly about the bistro. The club needs to make serious changes here.

Usually for family occasions I get dragged to the bistro at the catalina country club. My last three visits I have not gotten a decent meal that pass for acceptable human consumption.

Service was passable, but somehow the entrees were messed up. And we ended up with some garlic flat bread pizza that wasn't even cooked properly. Instead of the garlic breads I actually ordered for the table.

As far as mains go last night was no different, not really having a decent amount outside of frozen deep-fried options. I was left with Steak as my choice. To say this was a bad choice on my part may be an understatement. But I was not expecting to get a microwaved steak either. The steak was rubbery and flavourless. I asked for there to be no salt added to my meal, and when I got it, both the chips and the steak were douced in chicken salt and were borderline inedible. In short, the food was revolting I received, and the club should invest in someone who actually knows how to cook steak. I didn't bother complaining last night as I was out celebrating an occasion with the inlaws, and my wife did not want me sending the meal back, despite it being revolting.

The saving virtue was the service was good however the drinks waiter did not stop by nearly enough considering the amount of chicken salt that had been deposited on my meal. I needed more regular drinks visits to wash the bad taste...
