Commercial Hotel Motel — Restaurant in New South Wales

So we stayed 1 night a while back, For the price we weren't expecting much We got one room, That was on top of the bar, ( We expect it was going to be a noisy night being the weekend and we were fine with that, Couldn't help but have a laugh at some of them drunk conversations out side) With shared shower/toilets Room ECT was clean bed was comfy, It was all we really needed. The male bar staff were friendly and attentive, We went to order lunch There was new girl who was learning she was very good and polite but she did need a bit of help I thought she could of been the head chef came to help She was so bloody rude and gave us the filthiest look And was mumbling things under her breath I could see and feel this poor young girls discomfort, Food was very average and a bit pricey for what you got, I did like the decor of the bistro it's like stepping back in a time capsule. After a few hours away, we come back I go to order drinks 2 girls were standing there talking amongst themselves And yes they noticed me waiti as they just looked me up and down with a filty look some guy walks up stands behind me and the girls start talking to him and served him, One of the male bar staff who was cleaning seen what happened and quickly rushed to serve me and he apologised, I went back for a second time these 2 girls just gave me look and walked to the side and started talking to the blokes, After a few minutes the same one who served me before got out drinks he was looking at the girls shaking his head and the girls just laughed it was so awkward, 3rd time the girls looked at me and started whispering and laughin and looked at me again It was so Primary school and made me feel so uncomfortable and awkward, No body should be made to feel that way It was horrible. Next round hubby went and got drinks He was served by one of the girls straight away she even wants have a chat with him and he just walked away. We got dinner another very average meal, And the same young girls served us and she was lovely, After dinner I went to get another drink and the same thing happened I ended up walking out and these 2 twats had Another a laugh. We went up to our room So 2 problems with the room, It got so hot that we couldn't sleep and there was no fans, So I tried to open the window We couldn't do that because the window frame was so rotted that we thought the window would fall out. And as expected it got really noisy and we were OK with that we were enjoying the music As we couldnt sleep We wanted to have a drink and weren't going to go back downstairs to be Not Served by 2 twats that think they are Hot sh!t on toast but are nothing but cold fart on mouldy bread So we got our own drinks Maybe about half an hour before closing the music was turned off so we thought cool we go down for a smoke and a game on the pokies That tiny room where the pokies are is not ventilated and it was full of people smoking it was full of people you couldn't move or breath My hubby got a beer and once again was served straight way and she wanted to have a chat with him. We probably would of stayed here again if it wasn't for the female staff they are just to rude for us, The female bar staff and the rude one from the kitchen need to learn to show a little respect And they all need A piece of humble pie them girls aren't better then anyone they are just as average as...

What a **it hole. STAY AWAY from these fools. The staff are rude and unhelpful, the place is absolutely disgusting. Bathrooms are half broken barely useable, floors are VERY creaky, place has a dirty feeling and everything is broken. I was looking for a cheap place to stay for 2 nights, as I’m in Lithgow for work/study. I’m spending from 7am-5pm out of the place so I’m mostly looking for a bed to sleep in, and a shower- not too much. I called twice on the day of arrival to make sure that a 10pm check in wouldn’t be too late. They advised me “yes that’s ok” both times I called. On arrival I was told ‘by the way our hot water is not working, it should be on by 8am’. At 4pm the next day I found hot water isn’t working still. When I asked reception about why no one told me on the phone, Owen lied to me and said it only stopped working after midnight but I arrived at 10pm and it wasn’t working so Owen tried to tell me I was lying. Then he organised another hotel for me to stay at for the second night. I went to the second place ‘landsdown hotel’- they looked at me like an idiot and said are you a contractor? I said no but Owen from the commercial hotel just called and asked if I could stay here, they said yes but no there are no rooms available. Back to square 1 I called Owen, he made some calls and found a 3rd place for me to stay. This time, the Lithgow valley motel. Which is a drive away from town, with no food or pubs nearby. It’s also double the price of the original motel (very worth it turns out). STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, no matter how cheap it might be. That’s what got me I was looking for a cheap stay but it’s really worth paying a bit more not to have this headache. I’ve also seen other reviews about the exact same hot...

This pub is in a great central location and has good parking. The room rate is cheap and therefore the tiredness of the general decor, furnishings etc is to be expected. The staff were friendly. The room was small but adequate for my needs and having a sink in the room was a bonus. The room was clean as were the shared bathrooms. The bed linen and towel provided was very good. There was heater in the room although it was missing a wheel and lopsided, however I couldn’t plug it in anyway as the only power point was near the door and the only possible place to put the heater was in front of the door between the sink and the bed making it impossible to use the door. When checking in I was asked if I was aware a band would be playing until around 1am directly under my room (Saturday night) I was not! As it happened I was attending a function and arrived back around 11.30, the band was a duo and pretty good, but it was loud in my room. The main issue I have and the reason for the rating is that the people in the room next to me were yelling at each other and what sounded like moving furniture and throwing things intermittently but consistently from the time I went to my room around midnight until around 5am! This was highly disturbing in a number of ways including feeling nervous and unsafe along with a distinct lack of sleep. I got the impression that some people are more long term residents in the pub, and certainly the ones in the room next to me had some serious issues going on. Unfortunately I could not recommend...
